In the world of "strange double bills" one of the Strawbs shows I saw was supposed to be them supporting The Average White Band. AWB bowed out & I don't recall if there was an opener or not.

Wakeman used to tell the story about how he was the session keyboardist on Morning Has Broken, and the producer thought it was too short, so Wakeman modulated it up a tone to add a fresh repeat verse. He used to tell the story in solo piano shows in the 00s that he never got paid for that session, and someone eventually paid him haha.
