We abstractly 'know' of mortality ...I find I have a notably different sense of it after one ...& now, another ♄Saturn Return (~28.5 Year Cycles of Life...) Losing Friends ...even Friendly Acquaintances certainly underscores it. People have different experiences of Death in their times...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm

Proby also drove him. Felt defiant even I'd wager. Like the psychedelic experience - not everyone who has it is so articulate...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm

Vocation has the wonderfully deep sense of "born to do this". The reason we're on the planet for this time <3
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm

Vocation is that 'there-ness attaching itself to you' that he alluded to

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm

Ever in an attempt to articulate high concepts in the simplest language possible - in SocioPolitics anyway. There's Intellectual & Creative play when one is unconcerned about that...
But I don't think Orwell is credited with his work relating Speech, Thinking & Politics.
Mr. Potter is not only in the remarkable position of a Creative with long awareness of his existential Suffering & Mortality ...he's one of that handful of most brilliant people who can articulate things plainly & intelligibly. A special appreciation & admiration for them.

...our Values are skewed. A really fundamental & civilization-wide imbalance. We make all these Religious & Patriotic assertions & proclamations about the Beauty of this World - & the Sanctity of Human Beings ...but all the Traditions & Institutions are established to be Predatory.
A quarter of the way into the 21st Century - & the 'Leaders of the Free World' are primarily engaged in War & profiting in & by War - & the Manufacture of its Means. I know how you feel, GG. You are loved. And I really love being here with all of the folks here. Listening to the words of Dennis Potter was wonderful.

This has been welcome where I am. These are difficult days; it must be said that that is true. Having been presented with an example of something that was able to ride on top of it, in nobility no less, is something valuable. All is not entirely lost. So, thank you.
