I remember when the Beatles cartoon was on, though I don't recall seeing it much or recall what it was like. But I tell ya, that image of the cartoon lads elicits a wince. I'm wondering if just a couple years later, with fuller control of conditions and choices, they would've responded to that part of the mania and attention and licensing orgy with, "Uh, no."

Hi Larry, WR, Andrew, WR and all. Larry, I taped cartoon Beatles songs off TV back in 65 as a 9 year old and some of those had interesting EDITS of the songs. Sometimes lengthened to fit the cartoon better and some were horrible clip jobs.

I saw the movie Help! Once on PBS. All I remember is that they performed for Arabian people, Ringo lost a ring and they sang Ode to Joy or whatever that song was first called. I need to rewatch it again.

I think Feliciano's longevity was damaged by the fact that he was a straight-up "entertainer". Never a singer/songwriter, stylist, but an all around showbiz guy, a breed that all but died out by the early 70s
