Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

get pile of stuff. wait until 30 minutes before you have to leave for your flight. move pile of stuff into some sort of enveloping material. some might suggest a somewhat rigid structure. make sure the pile won't leave the enveloping material. woila, you're ready to go! (works for me every time)

Also lots of Metropolis product from the label's earlier days. Most of this stuff is now out of print. Earliest release I have is Electro Assassin's "Bioculture" album. Also have releases from Numb, Mentallo & The Fixer, Evil's Toy, Frontline Assembly, Wumpscut & many others. Now trying to sell some of this stuff.

you'll have to check them. I wouldn't bring anything collectible "wfmu-related", just b/c i've had everything go wrong that can go wrong w/ the tsa/baggage handlers (actually, it's been blue skiied and all clear for the last 18 years, but 2000-2005, i lost/broke so much crap)

I would imagine, since Milwaukee's glory days are now behind them. I've heard how over the years the breweries that put the city on the map have since either gone out of business or moved out of state.

Phillippe:

a total non-sequitur here, but Martha Stewart's sugar cookie recipe is worth the effort. Relatively speaking, not a huge amount of fat in them. Almost a shortbread if you bake them on the thicker side. They're made to be iced, so the cookies themselves are not too sweet, which makes them perfect with a nice cuppa tea
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 4:25pm
Handy Haversack:

Not checking nothin'! Just debating whether I need to have my dice easily accessible in case someone get hinky about them. I wonder if they'd kick over the amount of liquid in a COVID test ...

The only thing I ever bought in Wisconsin was gas. I was working on a suicide prevention vid for the Navy (shockingly high suicide rate at Navy boot camp) and was up at the Great Lakes boot camp and one evening drove up to WI so I could cross it off my "states visited" list. Probably there for 20 minutes.

If you've been to your local Post Office lately, you might have caught a new series of stamps that celebrate our love of pets (caricature paintings of puppies and kitties straddled on top of the word "LOVE").
