Funny listening to this song with cuckoo birds in the back ground. At first I though it was coming from my open window. I'm in Northern Italy and Cuckoos are currently migrating north into the foothills of the Alps.

if anyone is interested in know this: Amanda is right in the pronunciation of 'ghazal' , but it also is pronounced at the beginning with this sound : m.youtube.com... (apologies for the yt link) it strats at 0'33
and this is how it is written in the original arabic: غَزَل
Interestingly, the way Jim pronounces it resembles an actual word, and it is the word for an animal : the gazelle

I've been listening to Nick Cave's studio discography from the beginning starting a few weeks back.

Amazing the change from The Boys Next Door / Birthday Party to Ghosteen.

The Bad Seeds are amazing in that they basically improvise over Cave's lyrics & maybe a basic piano structure to flesh out amazing songs. I will be listening to the Grinderman & Dirty Three (Warren Ellis) material soon.
