I'll warn in advance: this particular story in Candy's running order is stitched together from two different broadcasts that I found online. The more pristine recording craps out about 2/3s of the way through the story. The last third is from an inferior - but still listenable - recording.

In the long tradition of detective and noir stories, the San Fransisco setting is fairly key to her stories. I've only visited briefly, but as I understand it, the descriptions of the places is spot on.

Here's where the sound changes. As I understand it, this was a re-airing of the same story, but from a re-run, near the end of the series run. I can't tell if it is a transcript broadcast, or the actors re-doing the same script. Both are likely, given the era of the show.

I recall being a little unsettled by so many parts of Labyrinth, the first time I saw it as a kid. I was pretty young. Didn't see it in the theater, but probably very soon after it could be rented. That's how my family usually rolled in those days. So probably around the same time I first saw Max, too.
