I saw two scifi films at the Fantastic Film Festival on the weekend:
* Quantum Cowboys that had a scene with Neko Case singing
* Lion-Girl, an enjoyable schockly film with gratuitous nudity that other people thought was a bit meh.

My friend put my jetpack on wrong and it fell and broke the rocket. The shoe spikes came off.
I tried to have a conversation with an acquaintance I hadn't seen for a year and was interrupted every 30 seconds.

Really lovely show, Fox. Keep doing what you're doing. I tell students that we are often so unaware of the disconnect between what our actions feel like when we do them, and how people take them. In other words: we are unaware how the seemingly mundane things we do have profound effect on my morning.
With that said, by just doing your show, you gave my morning such a spark. I work in Massachusetts at Lowell High School as the librarian, and lemme tell you, it's challenging. This is the district that Tucker Carlson said has become "poorer" due to the change from a largely French Canadian population (remember Kerouac lived here) to a polyglot of Latinix (about 35 percent), Southeast Asian (35 percent, many direct descendants of veterans of The Killing Fields in Cambodia), and African American (10 percent). I just love working there, and as you may have guessed, with all those cultures bumping into each other (oh, yeah, 20 percent are white folks like me, who play Dungeons and Dragons and want to read "Just Kids" by Patti Smith, and yes, other students from other cultures play D and D and read Patti Smith too), it's a lot of work.
Anyway, your show is body armor for the day. Thanks, kiddo.

It is SO FUCKING PERFECT as a singular piece. It makes no sense to continue it after the end.
And now there's going to be a television series, which.... ugh.

Water sports next?

Hey! Glad to jog your brain to "Free to Be You and Me."
The film "Young Adult" had the song "When We Grow Up," by Diana Ross. It just works so well at the end of that film.
Anyhoo, long drive to Lowell. Talk to you good folks soon!
