Hello chatroom!
  3:01pm
Cheree July:

Heh #glittergang!⚡️
Avatar 3:03pm
Debbie Davenport:

I love how they recorded these heys. They sound like they were recorded while sung backwards then played backwards so they sounded forwards.
Avatar 3:04pm
Debbie Davenport:

I don't know if that is what they did though. Just sounds that way to me.
  3:05pm
Cheree July:

Debbie, they ran the tape backwards for the "Hey!" part.

Hello, Kitten, Cheree, Debbie D, the Wired, and the Up!
Avatar 3:06pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Cheree July @3:05
Cool! So I am hearing it right. It's a great sound.
Avatar 3:06pm
Debbie Davenport:

Maybe it was discussed before on Wired Up and I just forgot.
  3:08pm
Kittimu:

how are you guys today
  3:11pm
Cheree July:

I'm busy adding more Glam to the queue.
Avatar 3:14pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:08
Good. (Other than door to door christians).
How are you Kittimu?
Avatar 3:20pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Sem @3:05
hi Sem
  3:27pm
Kittimu:

Oh hey I'm good sorry I was afk frantically rearranging my discord server. I'm really good cause i went to the Gyasi concert on thursday and that was good
Avatar 3:28pm
Debbie Davenport:

Awesome! I like the pictures I've seen from the shows.
  3:28pm
Kittimu:

Yeah I'm gonna maybe post some of the pics I took during that on Instagram today if I remember to
Avatar 3:29pm
Debbie Davenport:

Cool! Then I will see them.
Avatar 3:29pm
Debbie Davenport:

The new Hammered Satin 7" I ordered came in the mail!
  3:30pm
Kittimu:

Oh that's great! Is it their new single with rock n roller/rock n roll angel?
Avatar 3:32pm
Debbie Davenport:

Yes
  3:32pm
Kittimu:

Oh that's so cool. rock n roller is such a good song fr
  3:32pm
Cheree July:

Wow Debbie, you got the new Hammered Satin 7 inch already?😲
Avatar 3:33pm
Debbie Davenport:

Yes! Seemed early to me too. They also included some billy tibbals and uni boys stickers.
  3:33pm
Kittimu:

Ooh that's great! I never know what to put my band logo stickers on
Avatar 3:37pm
Debbie Davenport:

I never know where to put stickers either. then if I make a decision, I wind up wishing I wouldn't have. I saved an old turntable cover I had in the 80s because I didn't want to loose the stickers when the the record player became trash.
  3:38pm
Kittimu:

I was thinking for one of my gyasi ones I'd leave the backing on for now and just sort of jam it in the dead space of the frame when I finally get a frame for the poster I got at the concert so that way I can take it out if I desperately need to sticker something, that seems like a good compromise for me
  3:38pm
Kittimu:

Idk maybe I should just obtain some sort of dedicated object for stickers
  3:39pm
Kittimu:

Like just get some sort of board I can just hang on the wall and slap stickers onto
Avatar 3:40pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:38
Yeah you could just loop some tape and put it on the back.
Avatar 3:41pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:39
Or buy a big frame and cut a piece of cardbord the same size. then the glass will help along with the tape to keep it up.
Avatar 3:41pm
Debbie Davenport:

Noooooo! No exploding Don.
Avatar 3:41pm
HyperDose:

I would buy gear that Don exploded over
Avatar 3:42pm
Debbie Davenport:

exploding as in jizz sure, but who wants human brain matter chunks? Gross!
  3:43pm
Cheree July:

🤯😆🤣
Avatar 3:43pm
Debbie Davenport:

And more importantly. We dont want don to get hurt.
  3:44pm
Cheree July:

At the very least, we don't want his jeans to explode, like that weird lyric on one of the Junkshop Glam 45s he plays.
  3:45pm
Kittimu:

"that weird lyric on a junkshop glam 45" narrows it down to approximately a million possibilities
Avatar 3:47pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Cheree July @3:44
I think it's a Teens song. I'm trying to remember. I love that part.
  3:48pm
Kittimu:

It's always been my theory that every good song has one lyric that's notably better than every other lyric. Like you spend the whole song kind of waiting for the good part to hit. Y'know?
Avatar 3:49pm
Debbie Davenport:

oh is it this hello song we were just listening to? I should of been paying more attention. That jeans explode line kind of creeps up on the listener. smooth like.
Avatar 3:49pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:48
Hadn't thought of that.
  3:53pm
Cheree July:

I thought it was on Baby Likes To Do The Rock and Roll by Capricorn, but maybe Debbie is right.
  3:54pm
Kittimu:

If you're talking about Star Studded Sham, I just looked up the lyrics (thank god its popular enough I can do that) and I don't see anything about jeans
Avatar 3:54pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Cheree July @3:53
It might be I'm still trying to remember. It will be on my mind until I figure it out. That kind of stuff makes me obsessed.
  3:56pm
Cheree July:

I didn't hear anything about exploding jeans on that Hello song.
Avatar 3:56pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Kittimu @3:54
thanks. I will cross that off the mental list. I just listened to Tommi Ohrner, (which felt sacrilegious during this show). My attention was divided but I'm pretty sure that's not it.
  3:57pm
Cheree July:

👍
  3:57pm
Kittimu:

I hate when I have an obscure song stuck in my head. Thankfully most of the ones stuck in my head tend to be popular enough to google at least
Avatar 3:58pm
Debbie Davenport:

It's the Bay City Rollers!!!
Avatar 3:58pm
Debbie Davenport:

I"ll go look up the lyrics to be sure.
  3:59pm
Cheree July:

Wow! Good work #glittergang !👏👏👏

Rock N Roll Love Letter

Dear sister poet, dear brother poet too
These tears are words, i make em, wanna be with you
But I need to spend my body I'm a music makin' man
And no page can release it like this amplifier can.

This is my rock and roll love letter to you
This is my rock and roll love letter to you
Gonna sign it, gonna seal it, gonna mail it away
Gonna mail it today.

Dear Mama, Papa hey your boy is doin' fine
And this energy you gave him keeps on tryin' to unwind
'Cause I see an ancient rhythm in a man's genetic code
Gonna keep on rock and rollin' till my genes explode
  4:05pm
Cheree July:

Yep, that's just about right Debbie!👍👏👏👏
Avatar 4:05pm
Debbie Davenport:

I think the lyric is jeans not genes in the last line. But that particular person who posted these lyrics online wrote it that way.
Avatar 4:14pm
Mr Fab:

Finally made it! In time for the classic "Yellow Pills," yay.
  4:16pm
Cheree July:

Good timing!

Great Slade interview here, looking back album by album:

  4:27pm
Cheree July:

I told Don I thought that Scruff 45 he played sounded like Hold On Loosely by 38 Special. He thinks it sounds like Living After Midnight by Judas Priest.
  4:42pm
?:

that Boogy Band 45 rocks and is very fairly priced
Avatar 4:48pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Song: "La Regle Du Jeu" by "David Rochline"
Is this song about the movie with the same title?
Avatar 4:49pm
Debbie Davenport:

It's a 1939 film
Avatar 4:49pm
Cp304:

↳ Song: "Get Out Of My Way" by "Scruff"
I've heard some phat synths this afternoon.. even on the cheesiest songs
  4:50pm
Cheree July:

Yep, The Name of the Game
Avatar 4:51pm
Debbie Davenport:

↳ Cheree July @4:50
Thanks

Cheree July:

Merci Beaucoup!
Avatar 4:58pm
Cp304:

That one did start out like living after midnight tho
Avatar 5:00pm
Debbie Davenport:

Thank you Don! Catch ya later chatroom people!
  5:00pm
Cheree July:

I thought it sounded like Hold On Loosely by 38 Special.
