He wanted to do a series of lithographs with Mississippi river delta theme. My suggestions were not clicking for him. A co-worker suggested Ike & Tina's Proud Mary. That clicked and a lovely series of lithographs resulted.

Was pondering how much Ike did in discovering and developing Tina, which put him on that list of horrible people that you would not want to know personally, but whose musical legacy lives on. See: Leadbelly, The Beach Boys father Murray Wilson, Joe Meek, Phil Spector… the Problematic Hall o’ Fame!
