John Lurie painting. Once upon a time the only people I followed on Twitter was my daughter, Yoko Ono and John Lurie. I've yet to watch any of his TV program episodes.

I was reading earlier about masks and the smoke, seems it's of minimal benefit for smoke to mask up.

A Times article seemed to think that "most people" are wearing cloth masks. But several sources say N95s are helptul. Hochul is going to distribute a million of them.

From the Times article I referenced:
Do masks help?
A little. An N95 respirator mask, worn properly, can filter out some of the particles. But it does little to protect against harmful gases in wildfire smoke, like carbon monoxide. The looser facial coverings some of us wear now to lower our risk of spreading or becoming infected with the coronavirus will provide negligible protection against wildfire pollutants.

(not a ringing endorsement...)

yes, indeedy. My brother works w/ them so, to save money, i'm bundled w/ him. He had no idea. I get only maybe 1 bar 4 km from downtown Orlando, and if I go to my brother's house in the burbs, there is no coverage in his front yard (bizarre, as there's coverage in the back yard and the neighbors).
