By the mid 80s, it really heated up until 2000s when it became a no go area for many Filipino gov't officials and military. by 2010s, many cities had been emptied, and by 2017, all-out war ensued. In 2019, a peace agreement was made that made bangsamoro (W mindinao and nearby islands) an autonomous region w/in the Philippines.

	5:55pm Matt: I can't resist this cassette story. I'm from Minneapolis, a guy there was friends with Grant Hart and he said Grant liked to listen to new album mixdowns on tape in his car - only. Grant would take him out and play the tape, asking what his friend thought about the songs. Grant would always fast forward through certain songs though. The friend asked him why - he said "those are bob songs."

By the mid 80s, it really heated up until 2000s when it became a no go area for many Filipino gov't officials and military. by 2010s, many cities had been emptied, and by 2017, all-out war ensued. In 2019, a peace agreement was made that made bangsamoro (W mindinao and nearby islands) an autonomous region w/in the Philippines.

Grant would take him out and play the tape, asking what his friend thought about the songs. Grant would always fast forward through certain songs though.
