I think of you every time we drive to the Oregon coast, and we have to drive through the small town of Otis.

The Otis Cafe - which is delightful - unfortunately got caught in a fire, so they had to move to a new location that is not in the city of Otis. But at least the Otis Cafe in back... in another city, unfortunately.

I only went to Twede's once in the 90's, but it was just as I imagined it. I wrote about it in my zine, and took pictures of the other Twin Peak landmarks.

Otis Cafe is known for their brown break. It's FANTASTIC. We usually get a loaf to go.

I thought about that, when I was at dinner, and tried a rabbit dish. I used to identify with the rabbits in Watership Down as a kid, since I was born in the year of the rabbit. So I felt a little betrayl to my brothers when I had that dish.

As it happens: rabbit is delicious. I still feel bad... but not so bad that I didn't finish.

Absolutely. He's in a few bands, too. I went to see, "The Screaming Geezers," with him singing, a band of all old men who used to be in other bands before. It was great to see the 55+ crowd rocking out in a small club like that.
