As a part ime custodian, i often was forced to throw away curriculum book (grades K-3) still wrpped in the cellophane they were shipped in. I asked if I could have them & I'd donate them to some organization or another. They said "No, they taxpayer paid for these." To which I replied "I've been paying school taxes here for 25 years without any children in the systems, what am I?" Idiots.
