Hi Therese and All, Ah, great show about the Great Jones! I wish I had eaten there more often, though remember the times when I did, such a great atmosphere. I assume this is the same Billy Stewart who performs the rockin' version of "Summertime".

I used to really like the jukebox at Joe's Bar on, I think, East 7th Street between Aves A and B. It featured great country and retro pop offerings.

Mike Stuto may have been responsible for that MP3 jukebox at Brownies... it was great?

Rick A:

↳ Handy Haversack @9:22
Yes, absolutely, Handy, I spent much time there from 1995-2000. Bar 81 featured Nirvana, Neil Young, and Iggy among others. Bar 81 had a pool table where I played many a bad game of pool. When I returned to New York in 2004, it was sadly gone.

Hey all, Matt & Bill good to hear the Great Jones jook memories. @Handy: Yeah 81 was a rare great cd jook, I took a lot of care curating that one, one of the better
aspects of the job.

Shoot, Rick, we probably played pool against each other! We pretty much lived there 1999-2003.

And Dungaroos K was a large part of the reason!
  9:32pm
Rick A:

↳ Handy Haversack @9:27
We could have, though you would have been horrified at whomever let me near the table. Still, I got lucky on occasion. My friend Calvin spent much more time there than I did and was, still is, a really talented pool player. DK, you curated a great jukebox there. I remember playing selections from Iggy's Brick by Brick.
