	9:41am Handy Haversack: My dad used to end up drinking with Dylan Thomas sometimes in Village bars. His main DT story involved Gus's brother Maxwell Bodenheim, who was always on the bum in the village and would try to hustle poems for drinks. He comes into the White Horse at some point when my dad is in there drinking with DT and others, in midwinter, sleet coming down, in a shabby raincoat over even shabbier clothes, and tries to hustle a drink from DT for a poem, and Thomas receives the whole spiel in silence and then takes out his handkerchief and reaches over and wipes Bodenheim's nose.

His main DT story involved Gus's brother Maxwell Bodenheim, who was always on the bum in the village and would try to hustle poems for drinks. He comes into the White Horse at some point when my dad is in there drinking with DT and others, in midwinter, sleet coming down, in a shabby raincoat over even shabbier clothes, and tries to hustle a drink from DT for a poem, and Thomas receives the whole spiel in silence and then takes out his handkerchief and reaches over and wipes Bodenheim's nose.
