With billows and blasts from choirs and orchesters
Buskers and talkers
Big bands and squawkers,
the Stork Club has retained its qualities of decaying elegance and dwindling significance since the late 1950s.

Impressions Of Africa moves through three parts. The first part is my version of Sonny Sharrocks tune Blind Willy which then moves into a choral part of overdubbed voice from Viv and myself which actually overlays two more tunes of Sonny’s and then the final part is a song of my own. ...& there's this other part of me that likes Avant things - & has a special appreciation for people who create their own Palettes - & those who defy Genres.
With Mike Cooper I get to indulge all of that in one Artist...

Freud scholar Joel Whitebook connects the oceanic feeling to receptivity to music -- and "Freud's tin ear," his weird disdain for music, to his erasure of the early mother, including his own.
