	8:38pm Dean: Buckley is by no stretch the opposite of Ginsberg (sp.). Watch old episodes of Buckley's show. He was a reactionary Neanderthal, but he at least entertained contrary opinions. Such tolerance these days is often unacceptable.

I'm not saying Buckley was right, but the level of discourse on his show was so far above what we hear these days that I can't help but regret having lost it. But then I don't mind hearing from folks who extremely disagree with me, nor even from those who, it turns out, were utterly wrong.

But I think he has a genuine interest in the workings of the world. I love the interviews with Janis Joplin. He might be in love. And who wouldn't be?
