Hi-glad some good live jazz came out your way!
(of the list in the show description, I've seen Likda May Han Oh, in her own band and others, and Miguel Zenon).

Who has been to Tucson? Anyone out there tonight?

Dean:

Not I, but earlier today when asked which of the places depicted in this article I would like to visit I answered Tucson.

And if I'd known Tisziji Muñoz was performing there, I might have tried to make it.

This is a great idea, basing a program on an actual meeting of artists. For example, I'd love to hear coverage of this sort about Victo, Vision Festival, you name it. The program could air well before the actual festival to give listeners a reason to decide to attend, or afterwards to give a taste of what we missed.

And interviews, yes.

to be clear, this was recorded in 1986, so this group did not play at the Festival, but I bought the vinyl LP from Kresten while he was in Tucson and we discussed the label (ILK Music) in our interview
