There's a local commercial station in Sag Harbor that advertises on their bumpers "always local, always live" and it's true. I thought about how rare that actually is now. After the verdict 2 days ago the DJ freeformed a set of GUILTY songs (Chain Gang, Folsom Prison Blues etc.)

The major syndicated stations just suck in comparison.

1. Yes, Lowe's version ROCKS, & is faster & wilder. Saw a video of Springsteen doing it live & it's way too slow. 2. Have been watching the STAX doc. series, & am up to Redding's funeral....depressing, but plan to see the rest of it. David Porter, whose name I know but haven't seen before, is informative & funny.
