Influenced by the production music of the TV show "Sea Hunt" that he loved growing up, he begann to write his own compositions. He started out playing on the street, trumpet in one hand and bucket in the other, which read "no canadian coins" on it. He could often be seen playing outside of sports games. His song "Second Album" was included as a bonus track on the Stone Temple Pilots' album "Purple", which gave him further recognition. He is a big fan of Johnny Mathis and has seen Mathis live more than 100 times. He is also a friend of Jeff Bridges (who he calls "The Sun Of Sea Hunt", after his father Lloyd Bridges who starred in that show) and has opened for Bridges' band before. He has a trick he does where he plays piano and trumpet at the same time.

June 11, 2024: Big City Dick
Richard Peterson is a Pacific NW institution, a well-known savant Seattle trumpet player/piano player/composer. His music is heavily influenced by the 1950’s and 60’s television soundtrack work of the Columbia and Ziv music production companies. Richard released his first 45rpm single in 1976. He advanced his career by playing trumpet outside the football and baseball games.
