	9:23am Karl: ↳ No Big Thing in Chicago @9:20 From their Bandcamp, translated: Waving goodbye is also a new beginning. The new single "Farewell" by Carsick Cars, a three-piece rock band from Beijing, was released on July 5, 2024. It has been ten years since the band's last official album "3". During this period, Carsick Cars returned to the original lineup, drummer Li Qiang, jazz player Levi Si and guitarist and vocalist Zhang Shouwang reunited, and their footprints have extended from stages around the world to variety shows. , but in the hearts of music fans, the passion for "Little Car" has never cooled down. However, in "Farewell", we hear Carsick Cars that is slightly different from the previous impression: Zhang Shouwang started from special guitar tuning and tried to compose in a minor key for the first time, which also brought a melancholy emotion to the work. The band hopes to express its nostalgia for the lost memories with a relaxed and soft voice. The cars "shutting through the noise" and "the places they have been to" are all reminiscent of the years of formation of Carsick Cars: "It's mixed inside." It talks about the feelings of the band during the tour, some friends who have drifted away, and the things we have done together that are impossible to repeat. Therefore, the last line of the chorus, 'Those lingering things, are you still there?' is a sentence for me. I sighed deeply in my heart." Zhang Shouwang said. Farewell is a necessary part of life, but the past will not be forgotten or erased. When the song slows down and the emotions grow between the lines, Carsick Cars uses "Farewell" to mark the traces left by time, and to connect the past and the future, announcing the arrival of the band's next stage. Carsick Cars' long-awaited new studio album will be released soon, so stay tuned.

The new single "Farewell" by Carsick Cars, a three-piece rock band from Beijing, was released on July 5, 2024. It has been ten years since the band's last official album "3". During this period, Carsick Cars returned to the original lineup, drummer Li Qiang, jazz player Levi Si and guitarist and vocalist Zhang Shouwang reunited, and their footprints have extended from stages around the world to variety shows. , but in the hearts of music fans, the passion for "Little Car" has never cooled down. However, in "Farewell", we hear Carsick Cars that is slightly different from the previous impression: Zhang Shouwang started from special guitar tuning and tried to compose in a minor key for the first time, which also brought a melancholy emotion to the work. The band hopes to express its nostalgia for the lost memories with a relaxed and soft voice.
