Catherine Ribeiro had several careers. My father has some of her early and late stuff, he might even have seen her live when she was close to the French communist party. But he never heard about Alpes (my knowledge is basically the complement)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm
The Oscar:

Love Ed Wood-- I'm a fan of most of Burton's stuff up through the '90s (with a pretty hard cutoff), but Wood is pretty clearly his masterpiece.
Avatar 4:20pm
Megadano:

The DVD for Ed Wood has the writers commentary and the two guys are really funny. One fo the things they say is that all of the antagonists/villains in Ed Wood are people with totally reasonable requests. His wife wants him to not be such an exhibitionist. The church want their movie to have some continuity. His crew wants to be paid on time. LOL
  4:21pm
Tom from Stirling:

Edward Scissorhands was a a good Tim Burton movie.

And, of course, Alien: Romulus is worth a looksee.
  4:21pm
Ochre Ogre:

Bela Lugosi passed during the filming of Ed Wood. Landau came in to cover his parts.
Avatar 4:22pm
Megadano:

IF you like Ed Wood, then you REALLY owe it to yourself to track down the book "Nightmare OF Ecstasy" which the film Ed Wood is mostly based upon. Its a really fun compendium of all of the people who surrounded Ed during that era. Just hilarious stories, lots of which ended up in the film.
Avatar 4:23pm
Ike:

I can't imagine not enjoying Beetlejuice, but I suppose the upside is that you aren't opening yourself up to the certain disappointment of the imminent sequel -- two of the three writers (Millar and Gough) are dopey hacks, so that's not promising. And the studio is dumping it early September. That can't be good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:24pm

I think Ed Wood's chiropractor took over Lugosi's part. He was much taller.

There was also a pretty great documentary on the old Plan 9 DVD, which featured everything from interviews with the surviving cast and crew, to Sam Raimi reenacting Tor Johnson's appearance on You Bet Your Life, to a professional dominatrix who modeled herself after Vampira!
