I heard that the first movie to display an extraterrestrial civilization was "This Island Earth". It was quite different from Raymond F. Jones' novel, but I don't think it deserved the ridicule from "Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie".

I thought Terry Gilliam’s “12 Monkeys”, based on the 28-minute still photo sequence “La Jetée” (1962), was a masterpiece. A time travel story where time is treated as an immutable absolute.

when the kid was talking jurassic park it reminded me of 'dinosaurus!' a 60s b movie about finding two dinosaurs and a cave men in frozen in suspended animation. in the end a guy battles the t rex with a backhoe, which reminds me of when ripley battles the queel alien in that fork lifty kind of suite you strap yourself in to.
