	9:47pm coelacanth∅: i admit i didn't get toasting at first. i tried,too. bought a Prince Far I album; then an I Roy album... i had LKJ albums and Mutabaruka albums but that was different. then, c.1984(?) a friend gave me a 2nd generation cassette called "space skank" - not a straight up "mixtape" because the creator, whomever it was, had blended things together - and quite expertly. ...so on comes "words of my mouth/Lion a de winner". i'm blasting it in my car -for that bassline! and Perry comes on with ferocious animal sounds! i'm instantly converted, instantly open to U Roy and "dreader locks", etc. just like that.

	9:47pm coelacanth∅: i admit i didn't get toasting at first. i tried,too. bought a Prince Far I album; then an I Roy album... i had LKJ albums and Mutabaruka albums but that was different. then, c.1984(?) a friend gave me a 2nd generation cassette called "space skank" - not a straight up "mixtape" because the creator, whomever it was, had blended things together - and quite expertly. ...so on comes "words of my mouth/Lion a de winner". i'm blasting it in my car -for that bassline! and Perry comes on with ferocious animal sounds! i'm instantly converted, instantly open to U Roy and "dreader locks", etc. just like that.
