MACHETE @5:33 The only one they released singularly in mono is "We're Only In It For The Money" which was a Record Store Day picture disc edition a few years back.It was only ever available as a promo, not commercially released. The others have not, to my knowledge.

	🥁 5:47pm Discotech Underground: I had quite a bit of repetition in my LP collection. I don't need five copies of a given LP because they each have slight differences. It just got to be too overwhelming.
	5:51pm A.J. MACHETE: ↳ Discotech Underground @5:47 My aesthetic about LPs with slight differences has followed me into the internet. Since my ear is my best instrument, I appreciate having diverse mixes of songs. And it tears me up when they replace aspects of any media for reissue.

They were sort of "directors cuts" of classic LP's that just didn't sound right. I remember buying the FZ approved CD of "Hot Rats" and it was just so different from the LP I was used to that it was hard to listen to, honestly.

	5:54pm A.J. MACHETE: I GATED when Zappa remixed the MOI stuff for the 90s reissues without including the original mixes. I know he can do that because it's his art, but something just bugs me about that.

Discotech Underground is actually two...two...two shows in one!

The first half is a "Happy Hour" of sorts (because it's five o'clock somewhere, right?), spinning the kinds of sounds you might have heard at a real, authentic 1960's DISCOTECH as cool cats and swingin' chicks danced the night away in their mod threads and mini skirts to hard-driving sounds under the flashing lights! The only thing missing are the cage dancers...but we're working on it!

The second half is for when you head home after a wild night, and ease in with the heady, trippy, mind-expanding sounds of a groovy free-form UNDERGROUND rock radio station that digs deep into their library and blows your mind all over again!

They were sort of "directors cuts" of classic LP's that just didn't sound right. I remember buying the FZ approved CD of "Hot Rats" and it was just so different from the LP I was used to that it was hard to listen to, honestly.
