I have no idea what is going on, and I like it. Im' in Australia so my literacy of Mexico and its culture are limited. If there is a joke I am not in on it and I don't mind at all.

Hi laurapanic. Not exactly a joke, just that slowing down the tracks can reveal nuances or change the recording. Speedo plays tracks are a variety of Latin America and beyond. Willie Colon for example is / was a New York Puerto Rican, one of the salsa kings. That is the only artist so far that I was already familiar with.

There is a precedent for playing tracks slowed down. I will look for some good links covering some of them. If I don't find them by the end of this program I will share them with you some other time.
