Michael, that La Shawn Collins tune at about 00:34:30, (October 13) "What Ya Gonna Do Now?", when was that recorded? It sure sounds like James Jamerson on bass, don't ya think?

Nick Ratnieks:

Coming in about 3 months late courtesy of the web and from a small damp cold island somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. Great show- great interviews especially Chris Hillman who is far too together and lucid for someone who experienced the 60s as a musician! Just a quick mention that Chris and Gram's song on The Flying Burrito Brothers' first album-"Christine's Tune" was written about Miss Christine of the GTO's which is featured towards the end of the show. I believe they changed the songs name to the hook line "She's a devil in disguise" later on because she sadly moved on to the next dimension (No, that's not Hawaii!).
