  10:05am Mike Lupica:

Thanks, JoJo... Delighted to be here!
  10:08am hector:

Hello Mike, good afternoon from Spain!
  10:10am Mike Lupica:

Welcome Hector! Warmest regards to your countrymen/women!
  10:32am Smokin'J:

NOW we rock!
  10:33am Neil:

Good morning Mike.
Am I correct in detecting a display of the poppier side of Mr. Lupica? A good morning to you. Hope you've had your coffee. I have not had mine, but that is a situation I hope to have remedied very shortly. Now where is that wife of mine?
  10:37am Paul:

Greetings from sunny Chicago. So where is Mr. Shelley today?
  10:39am Mike Lupica:

Correct, Neil. Ain't no way I'd fill in for Michael Shelley and wheel out the Mentors and Brainbombs records!
  10:41am jeff:

bring the bee-gees strong, lupica. love that big fat wet bass groove.

also who's not a sucker for those hand claps?
  10:51am Paul:

Good stuff. But I miss that quirky obscure country music that MS plays.
  10:52am Mike Lupica:

Then on to the archives with you, my good sir. Michael will be back next week.
  11:00am Paul:

Ouch, babe.
  11:06am dave:

yes-most beautiful hollies song
yes
thrice yes
  11:15am DeemerDave:

Greetings from the gate city of New Hampshire (and home town of the other Mike Lupica).

I am thoroughly enjoying my first listen to your show. I must check out your archives. Thanks for your #1 hits. I listen to Michael, Rex, and Terre nearly every Saturday and WFMU is my #1 favorite station. I love to hear music rarely or never played on commercial radio.

Best wishes and keep it coming!
  11:16am Paul:

No offense taken. All in good fun, Mike.
  11:19am Liz B.:

I had a sudden urge to clean the second I heard the Bee Gees (perhaps a vision of icky disco mustaches and sweaty polyester?). The bleach concentration is running high in this here kitchen! Thanks for the motivation, work it, Mike!
  11:20am Don:

Hi Ya Mike! As a new listener to WFMU, I find your music selections to be wonderfully fresh. Listening over the net from Northern Michigan. The music is wonderful background sound to my studies (the History of Rock and Roll).
  11:23am marty:

hello.... nice to hear you back on the air waves
  11:33am HotRod:

What's up, Mike? I absolutely love the J. Forrest track with Laura. It's exactly what I wanted to hear. Oh, and that Disco Not Disco comp that just came out should be a part of everyone's collection. Essential! Strut always delivers!
  11:34am ian:

greattngs from the waiting room of an ETD Tire Discount Center off Rt 46 in Denville,NJ....god bless internet air cards, laptops, MP3 streams and the pleasant suprise of Mike L. on a Saturday morning. Huurrrahhh!! You should recieve the keys to the city good sir!!
  11:36am jeff:

  11:39am Lou Z:

Major Stars into Aldo Nova = sheer bliss. Keep it up Mike!
  11:42am Parq:

My typing arm's on the bum, but if greeting an unexpected Saty morn ML means a left-handed post, so be it.
  11:45am barry wilson:

Mihael Shelly--How DARE you take time off! What have you left us with? At least you could have gotten ToddOphonic Todd to fill in. AAARRRGGGHHH!
  11:48am jimi-jimi:

NO great interview, no fast-Phreddie, maybe tips on beer tasting though...Oh Boy!
  11:51am Ike H:

Bwah ha ha! The more narrow-minded segment of Shelley's audience writhes in confusion and hysteria! Can we have more Dokaka please? That'll really confound 'em! Hee!

Ooops, did I just become evil? Sorry about that.
  11:55am Mysterioso:

Mike - another fine set. Good to see that marriage is not ironing out the warps in your fertile mind - M
  11:55am barry wilson:

I don't care what the FMU newbies say but we LOVE Michael Shelley and his program & feel its one of the very best...I won't sit here andlet you knock one of FMU's premier DJ's!!
  11:56am Mike Lupica:

Thanks Ike and Mysterioso -- If anything, marriage has warped me more.
  11:57am Mysterioso:

Yeah, no one here gets out alive! Rock on, Garth
  12:01pm Ike H:

Hooray for warping Mike!

Barry, I knocked no man of FMU! MS's awesome and hilarious C&W selections are great. And I've been listening for ~15 yrs.
  12:18pm Parq:

say amen, somebody
  12:18pm larry walczak:

Barry, Mike will be back next week & hey, theres only less than an hour left today so lets hang in there, maybe Todd was super busy today to fill in but hey see you all NEXT week!
  12:24pm Ana:

Seriously, stop whining. Can't Michael Shelley take a week off every now and again? Deal with it, this show is fantastic!
  12:26pm larry:

I'm tempted to give my name as 'the lord,' but I wont. Instead, I'll just say that Barry, Mike et al are outatheyminds. The playlist today is fabulous. I'm loving this show.
  12:38pm magpie:

oh i cant muster a witticism to chime in w y'all but reallly great show. thanks- it is helping me feel great about not doing a thing
  12:52pm barry wilson:

Well, at least there was no beer tasting segment...
  12:54pm Mike Lupica:

Glad we didn't offend your most delicate sensibilities today, Barry. I think I will name today's show in your honor.
  12:58pm alan:

well, surprised to see you here this afternoon/morning whatever. While on a break at work last night I tried to email u the link to the DLR Runnin' w. the Devil thing and I guess u already found it. I'll have to check out the archives. The reason I didn't send the email was because the idiots at Dell put the side buttons on the mouse and I erased the whole thing, and the break was over, oh well.

Hey I also wanted to be put on yer email list foe when you're filling in. thx.

I think the M. Shelly for a M Lupica ain't a bad deal. I do love Shelly though.
thx mike!
  6:39am Vicki:

Hurray! It's Mike!
  6:39am Vicki:

Oh, the show's over

ffuts
  11:21am david rose:

Diamond Dave with Wagner? Genius!!!!!!!
  9:30am Captain Corduroy:

Mike it's good to know you're alive and so nice to hear you back on the radio. Rumors had reached me that you were cut down in a hail of bullets during an attempted bank robbery in Des Moines. Escaped and survived, sounds like!
