Listener comments!

  3:13pm
jonathan:

  3:17pm
Cecile:

Seconded.
  3:18pm
Tom:

yaaaa Brutal start to the show !!! need that now and always can be heard on the one and only Kamikaze Diane !!
  3:23pm
Cecile:

Is the Budgie guy's voice that high?
  3:29pm
Droll:

Cecile, yes -- he's got a very high voice. Higher than Geddy Lee's, even. Nevertheless, Budgie is a monster in the pantheon of proto-metal. Every album had a light hearted tune, too, like "She's As Hot As A Docker's Armpit". Does humor belong in metal?
  3:35pm
Cecile:

Thanks, Droll. I knew it was high, and I don't know why it's striking me today - I have heard 'em before. Weird. It sounded like it was on 45 today. I need my ears checked, maybe.

Yes, I think metal does. Korpiklaani's Happy LIttle Boozer never fails to crack me up.
  3:43pm
Bad Ronald:

Lou - nice - TX
  3:52pm
Cecile:

Hey, can you slide in some "Discipline" era King Crimson, pretty please?
  3:56pm
Droll:

Cecile -- HA! You read my mind. Adrian's guitar on the Talking Heads had me thinking along those lines, too (he's such a signature player). But I would never presume to tell Diane what to play. I used to have a band called Frame By Frame, though (hint hint hint).
  3:56pm
Bad Ronald:

Yeah, like "Indiscipline"!
  4:02pm
Droll:

Thank you Diane!
  4:02pm
Cecile:

Nice, thanks Diane
  4:04pm
Mr. Pumpy:

"..and then looking at it...to see if I still liked it....I DID!!!!"
  4:25pm
Cecile:

Thunder, thunder, thunder...horse!
  4:51pm
Cecile:

  4:53pm
Cecile:

we need Metal Inguistion...
"I sentence you to death....by guillotine!"
  4:57pm
Listener James from Westwood:

If I'm not mistaken, I saw Thor perform on the Uncle Floyd TV show on at least one occasion. He also aired his video for "Keep the Dogs Away" (?) and impressed the Uncle Floyd gang by making his mega-pecs dance.
  5:03pm
efd:

James, you're most certainly not mistaken -- in fact, I was there that night because a band I was in was also taping an appearance on the Uncle Floyd show! He was there with full dog accompaniment!
  5:04pm
Cecile:

Wow.... I M jelz.
  5:07pm

  5:38pm

I wonder if this song is about killing people. The theme is very subtle...
  8:24pm
Bad Ronald:

  9:12pm
Steve:

Wow. I'm listening from the archives. That Witch song rocks my soul.
  9:13pm
Steve:

Oops, I meant that Sword song. See how hard it rocked? I'm all confused.
