annie:

yay!
  3:08pm
BSI:

Welcome home, mister giant man...
  3:09pm
north guinea hills:

play this again!
  3:27pm
Carmichael:

Hey there, Fabio.
  3:30pm
Chris:

Great opening today.
  3:34pm
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

I really like that Mr. Giant Man song. The bass really rocks towards the end. Maybe you should consider making it your theme song. Just a thought.
  3:35pm
Cecile:

I always rock out to Mr. Giant Man. Love it.

Which Scream is this? Not the hardcore band for sure.
  3:35pm
Parq:

I Scream, you Scream, we all ...
  3:36pm
Chris:

Opening set, that is.
  3:37pm
?:

not to mention pillow cases!
  3:39pm
jneil:

Huh. I always miss the first half hour of Strength Through Failure because I rip off the headphones as soon as the first few notes of Mr. Giant Man come on, and then I forget to put them on again.
  3:40pm
annie:

jneil, learn to love the giant man, he just wants to have fun!
  3:43pm
Carmichael:

Hey, Faust!!
  3:45pm
Chris:

You can also see Faust at the Sonic CIrcuits fest in DC

http://dc-soniccircuits.org/
  3:47pm
BSI:

I'll admit, it took me a while to embrace Giant Man... Mostly because it became a horrendous ear-worm. Once that damn song gets into the bloodstream, it's hard to shake. But we're cool now, mister Giant Man and me...
  3:48pm
Carmichael:

The Kinks' "Apeman" does that to me.
  3:53pm
jneil:

Someone needs to do a chart of FMU shows sorted in order of longest opening and closing tracks.

Fabio and TerreT are probably tied for the longest opener, while Benjamin Walker probably has the closing honors in the bag.
  3:57pm
Chris:

Inner Ear Detour is pretty long.
  3:57pm
Parq:

The late John Narucki used to have Zappa's "Willie the Pimp" as his opener. He preceded Irwin, who, our ol' pal later revealed, is a major Zappa hater. Irwin says that Narucki would force him to cue it up every week, greatly enjoying the discomfort it caused. To ice the cake, he had it on a cassette.
  3:58pm
Parq:

Inner Ear or Joe B -- which has the most splices?
  4:00pm
fabio:

Yeah, it was a pretty beat cassette too, so it sounded really shitty. I loved that about it.... He was quite a character Narucki...
  4:04pm
chris in london:

fantastic mate - top tunes - nicely tripping out to this stuf
  4:08pm
dc pat:

yeah! 10th victim!!
  4:17pm
Carmichael:

Fabio, do you have any Plastic People of the Universe there?? Just reading a book about Prague that pinged me memory banks.
  4:33pm
BSI:

a very liberating experience, singing along with this in the ofc...
  4:36pm
Chris:

Yeah, that'd liberate me from my employment.
  4:53pm
north guinea hills:

the music i used to play in my office exempted me from the no-headphones-policy.
  4:56pm
Parq:

I've gotten used to funny looks from co-workers who wander into my office.
  5:12pm
slugluv1313:

geez where do you guys work??? i would LOVE to at least have an office where i could listen to WFMU !!!
  5:18pm
north guinea hills:

I work for the federal gov't, so, although i get to listen wfmu (although i'm not supposed to stream, but i'm friendly w/ the IT dept), the suckiness of the job almost balances it.
  5:21pm
annie:

yes!!!! yess!!!!!
  5:26pm
slugluv1313:

ahhhhhh FEDERAL gov! (i work for gov't. -- if i remember correctly, WFMU is one of the "blocked sites"!!!) (The Vitamin Shoppe is ALSO blocked but . . . Victoria's Secret is NOT!!!)
  5:30pm
annie:

spectacular beats!! breathtaking
  5:30pm
slugluv1313:

oops make that COUNTY gov't (somehow i goofed and that got left out???)
  5:30pm
Francisco Torres:

Kind of noisy show... We like it.
  5:31pm
slugluv1313:

yesssssssss LOVING what i am hearing!!!!! THANKS FABIO for another spectacular show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5:32pm
Parq:

Coincidentally, I also work for the govt. -- state, in my instance. I've been here for decades and have enough seniority to secure a decent sized office. My strangely Orwelian work puter has many blocked sites, but FMU is not on their radar.
  5:43pm
Carmichael:

Another guv worker here. No access probolems at all.

I think Cecile is also in gubmint.
  5:50pm
AnAnonymousParty:

Private industry, computer hardware and software developer. Nothing ever blocked, sometimes much to my co-worker's dismay.
