Listener comments!

  9:20pm
Looms:

Evening Daniel!
This "Sound Lines" sounds good while our airlines make no sound.
  9:24pm
D. Blumin:

Hang in there, Looms - sending submarines!
  9:33pm
davey:

  9:37pm
James:

  9:40pm
davey:

  9:42pm
Looms:

Submarines! Of course! Why don't we Europeans have that great American pragmatism?
  9:43pm
D. Blumin:

Davey and James - cheers!
  9:47pm
Looms:

Never heard Alva Noto sound like this. Interesting.
  9:51pm
davey:

looms! i was just about to say the same thing re: alva noto!
wayyy smoooooth.
  9:54pm
James:

Never heard of Alva Noto. Lovely chimey sounds Daniel, thank you. Sorry, not really good at describing music. By the way, these addition problems are getting harder and harder.
  9:55pm
Looms:

YOUNG GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9:56pm
Looms:

Have a good one, Davey & James!
  10:01pm
D. Blumin:

The rest of the album has more familiar Noto minimalism on it - lest you worry, peoples...
  10:10pm
Looms:

All guitar riffs of The Young Gods you can hear live are taken from Franz Treichler's and Al Monod's jams in studio and played by Al Monod on a sampler. Sound great, don't they?!
  10:20pm
Looms:

WFMU DJs are all humans? I don't buy that.
  10:21pm
James:

Awesome samples. ALIENS!?!?! Gos hates you Daniel.
  10:22pm
B. LaBonte:

Oh hell yeah there are aliens among us. Cyborgs, too.
  10:23pm
Looms:

Cyborgs from outer space, of course...
  10:24pm
wilbur twinhorse:

More to the point might be the number of Human Beings living among US!
  10:24pm
James:

I meant God. I've been drinking.
  10:28pm
D. Blumin:

Even worse - I thought Gos was bad enough! God hates me? God hates cyborgs and Spacemen 3 but not me, James!
  10:29pm
dave:

wow, this sujo thing is great
  10:29pm
9of9:

mmmm @ zephyr,,,huuuuhummmmmmmmmm
  10:30pm
D. Blumin:

Wilbur, point taken - didn't me any offense - are some of yr friends aliens?
  10:31pm
B. LaBonte:

Pete Bassman was probably a cyborg.
  10:32pm
James:

I know, God loves DJs. I'm sorry. So are you all worried about the Singularity? I know I am.
  10:33pm
Alex:

I don't think there's aliens currently listening to this broadcast on earth, but, radio waves go out into space and basically carry on forever. So maybe some aliens will get to listen to this someday!
  10:34pm
D. Blumin:

Probably, LaBonte? He's certified!
  10:35pm
dave:

and, hey, if the aliens miss the broadcast, they can always check the archives.
  10:35pm
B. LaBonte:

I knew it! LET'S GET HIM!!
  10:37pm
Looms:

Hope they have a good musical taste, Alex. Otherwise it could be kind of scary...
  10:37pm
D. Blumin:

Hmm, Alex - now you've made me think... What the heck would you say to an alien? Besides the legal ID of course - We MUST tell them it's WFMU E. Orange, WMFU Mt Hope and wfmu.org on the interweb!
  10:37pm
D. Blumin:

Aliens made this track...
  10:39pm
D. Blumin:

Good taste? Bah humbug! We don't need to worry about good taste - THEY ARE FROM OUTER SPACE!!!
  10:39pm
Looms:

this is the proof, Daniel: aliens are among us!
  10:39pm
Alex:

For all we know, this track could be the equivalent of a death threat in some alien language.

Pray it isn't so Mr. Blumin...
  10:39pm
B. LaBonte:

D., you should do a remote broadcast from District 9.
  10:41pm
D. Blumin:

They were all spaced out on speed, LaBonte!
Where do you think I am???
  10:48pm
James:

Do you all think Obama is an alien from the planet Communix?
  10:48pm
B. LaBonte:

I bet all the members of The Darkside were cyborgs.
  10:48pm
D. Blumin:

Looks like amongst us there is NOBODY who actually believes there are extraterrestrials amongst us except LaBonte and his Pete Bassman! THAT is unacceptable... Unacceptable...
  10:49pm
johnny:

Enjoying your show while I work. Especially liked "Muzhskoy Tanets". Russian? Info appreciated...I'd love to hear more.
  10:53pm
Looms:

We're all made out of stardust, so WE ARE all aliens! Think outer space, act local! (this is going to be my new motto)
  10:58pm
D. Blumin:

Johnny, I'll update the playlist w/ more info after the show... It is indeed Russian and a great early 80's sounding thing though it was recorded towards the end of the 80's...
