It absorbs heat and melts it quicker, especially as cars drive over. As long as you do it before 3 p.m. it won't re-freeze during the night.

I was thinking of moving all those people into one central dept--D.U.H., the Department of Duh. Leaving everyone else to do more serious thinking!
