Listener comments!

  9:06am pierre:

Hi Ken good luck for this 2011 marathon !
  9:07am pierre:

The Grand Prize is incroyable !
  9:07am Dan B From Upstate:

Good morning Ken and Billy! Can't believe you're giving away the Phil Spector painting!
  9:07am Vicki (DO or DIY):

hurraahhhhhh
  9:09am Skirkie:

Huzzah.
  9:09am Chris in Madison:

Mornin' Ken & Billy!
  9:09am hamburger:

Ahoy hoy!
  9:10am pierre:

yeah BIMBO TOWER !
  9:11am Looms:

Bimbo Tower is an amazing place, indeed.
  9:11am Mr. Two-Arms:

Tonetta is the creepiest genius of them all!
  9:12am fred:

Is it ethical to give away that painting when it has already been adopted, and when it's the crown jewel of the gallery one can visit for a mere 3K?
  9:12am Cheri Pi:

I'll be there is a sec.
  9:15am ?:

Mexican Institute of Sound = Camilo Lara - whose day job is President of EMI Mexico!
  9:16am Marmalade Kitty:

I can imagine the garish living room in which such a painting would sit perfectly!
  9:16am fred:

Bimbo Tower rules! Shout out to François and Franck!
  9:16am Michelle in Green Bay:

Heading to class in a few but I actually get to listen for about an hour later in the show! (Yay for slacker students who cancel their lessons!)

So if I'm a Swag for Life type, can I "allocate" my pledge to specific shows?
  9:17am pierre:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/38/Jarryd720.gif
  9:18am fred:

@pierre: show up at the France show tonight and your first pint is on me
  9:18am Cheri Pi:

I'm broke now, any sugar daddies out there?
  9:21am pierre:

@fred : that is super nice of you. a small problem though, my credit card let me down yesterday, so i'm not sure i can make it. If not, the first pint will be on me at the Club Moral gig (wich i know i'll be able to go to).
  9:22am Marmalade Kitty:

Ken is that your living room I imagine..?
  9:23am Vicki (DO or DIY):

be sure to post the scotcheroos by surface mail
  9:23am Vivian:

Ken, can you make your scotcharoos vegan for me?
  9:24am Aaron in Minneapolis:

In case you were worried Ken, I will be pledging but I wont say when
  9:25am Skirkie:

I'll be honest, a couple years ago I didn't much like this show. Now if I turn on the radio and find there's a fill in or something, I get grumpy.
  9:26am pierre:

can you put your Phil Spector painting on your wall of sound?
(sorry this joke is rubbish)
  9:27am fred:

@pierre: if your card recovers by then, there's also a great show there on 3/30: Napalm Jazz (Philémon's band), Justice Yeldham, and France Sauvage (unrelated to France, even though one of the France guys goes by the name of Sauvage)
  9:27am Jim:

Is this the same Spector painting that you've been unable to give away several times before?
  9:28am Ken:

Vivian, the scotcheroos ARE Vegan, if by Vegan, you mean DELICIOUS.
  9:28am Marmalade Kitty:

lol:)
  9:29am JJZ:

Hm. I wouldn't mind potentially winning that, although I already pledged and didn't select that slot machine thing.
  9:30am Roberto:

Yes, vegan scotcheroos! There's money in it for ya!
  9:30am Evan:

strokin'!
  9:30am tim:

I think I need to free my ass first, if it's okay, just this once.
  9:31am pierre:

@ fred : yes, i already planned to go see the Justice Yeldham show to, it seems like we are not fmu listeners for nothing. Right, then, so i'm sure to share beers with good compagny. a good thing.
  9:31am miss v:

Ken, do you accept food stamps as a donation??
  9:32am Michele:

YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WON THE TONETTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9:34am Vivian:

Done. Pledge to WFMU scratched off of my to-do list.
  9:42am Cecile:

I <3 Billy and Ken.
  9:42am Bad Ronald:

Hello Sweden, Ken and Billy Jam! Happy Marathoning!

Boy, I'd like one of those fancy record changers for my entertainment lounge.
  9:43am listener Andrei:

Hi Ken, I feel you have abandoned your fetish for internationalle! Please come back with that!!! =) I hope to hear more Ukranian, Russian and especially German songs.
Cheers, listener Andrei
P.S. Wish you guys get tons of cash this time.
  9:44am hamburger:

This is SUPER happy fun time!
  9:49am marc:

good to hear my two favorite wfmu djs together--Ken and Billy.
  9:49am Vivian:

And the stream just quit....
  9:50am Skirkie:

Damn right you do.
  9:50am Vicki (DO or DIY):

128 and Flash streams are fine here
  9:53am Elwyn:

128k MP3 is good for me too... but now I've got to go to bed. (Sydney time: 2 am )
  9:55am Marmalade Kitty:

I meant to ask; do wfmu advertise the station to a wider the public
  9:56am hamburger:

Did I hear Quadron?
  9:56am hamburger:

oh Quad is on!
  9:57am Dan B From Upstate:

Yay for Quadron!
  10:00am Skirkie:

About a month ago this song was in my head but I forgot what it was called. I remembered I heard it on Ken's show and generally which month. Went back in the archives and tracked it down. Great resources these archives.
  10:02am Brew:

I'm an extremely broke college student, but I'll come up with something and make a pledge soon. Thanks for being awesome WFMU!
  10:02am Danne D:

that's great Brew :)

there's like an all-star cast of commenters in here today :)
  10:03am ?:

Money's coming in from every dimension. Shit's coming in from all over!
  10:05am Cecile:

Brew: I started supporting freeform with just a few bucks as a broke college student in Ann Arbor 25 years ago, and now I can support them with more.
  10:06am pierre:

everybody start to gather around ken and billy
  10:07am fred:

These archives are the best thing ever on the interwebs. But it takes money to keep them up. So do what's right, it's the best investment you could make, and will pay off unexpectedly when you need it most
  10:07am βrian:

Ah, WCBN! (Even they have begun to sneak in advertising.)
  10:09am annie:

ok, i AM listening.. yep
  10:09am Danne D:

Same with me Cecile, I think I started with a bumper sticker pledge one year. Then I won $25 in a 7-second delay stunt and then pledged some more and then it's kinda snowballed from there :)
  10:10am Cheri Pi:

I don't have kids so I'm spend their college fund on WFMU!
  10:10am Rob W:

Might I add, Cecile is another former CBN'er!
  10:10am John:

For the record Im not listening from LIC but from Kanchanaburi Thailand, not that there's that big a difference
  10:10am Brew:

Cecile: That's my plan :) Give more each year. As a college radio DJ, I know how hard things are for independent radio.
  10:10am Julie:

My wallet is too heavy..I think I will throw some money Ken & Billy's way
  10:11am Pat in Philadelphia:

Ken's right. Boy is XPN a snooze.
  10:11am Skirkie:

Philly still has WKDU, which is alright.
  10:12am Vicki (DO or DIY):

please don't end the marathon tomorrow :)
  10:13am Cecile:

That's right, Rob. And I think both of us got most of our college education at WCBN, too.
  10:13am Rob W:

Absolutely Cecile!
  10:14am Pat in Philadelphia:

@Skirkie I used to love the Music for Your Methlab show on WKDU, but that show is no longer on the air. WPRB's signal comes in ok too. But the WFMU IPhone App has replaced all the terrestrial radio I used to listen too. Seriously, that IPhone app is the greatest!
  10:15am Cecile:

Remember when we filled in for the Women's Affairs show and did "Women in Heavy Metal". We played Bitch and Girlschool and Heart records for an hour and Rob did some great cut-ins.
  10:16am Rob W:

Wow Cecile, y'know I don't remember that... wish there was a tape!
  10:17am Danne D:

Just sent nibble number 7 of my prize account :)
  10:17am Cecile:

Yeah, you did a fake "man in the street" clip and spliced in RIchard Nixon!

Wish I would have kept a tape.
  10:18am Danne D:

The hockey teams are better in Kanchanaburi Thailand than on Long Island, John :)
  10:23am minnesota jeff:

I believe that is the first Islanders dig I have seen on the WFMU comment boards.
10:25am On Behalf of John Sterling:

Island Goal! Islander Goal!
  10:26am βrian:

Yo, to Lewis in Madison from Brian in Madison.
  10:26am wha?:

I have to ask, what's up with mispronouncing Kearny? Some inside joke? I've managed to tune in only sporadically over the last few days, and I've heard Kearny mispronounced the same way at least 4 times. Someone corrects it almost immediately each time. It just seems bizarre that it keeps happening.
  10:27am fred:

Tsk Tsk again, Danne. Beware, DJ Mama knows what you're up to. Better bring in some nice treats Sunday. Watch your clock and don't be late
  10:28am John:

No one said anything about Long Island, Im talking LIC and thats queens baby
  10:28am Neg-guh-tor:

Dropped my 'mouse' now pledge all you commenting wussies! My pledge goes out to my commenting friends on Ken's board! Hell on earth ain't so bad with you guys in the world! Cheers!
  10:28am Chris in Madison:

Yo to Brian and Lewis from Chris in Madison!
  10:28am Gil:

HELLO SWEDEN!
  10:29am glenn:

the islanders are possibly the most poorly managed team in all of professional sports, except maybe the clippers.
  10:29am Michelle in Green Bay:

Back from class...I get to listen for the next hour or so! Wheeeee!
  10:29am βrian:

Solidarity in Madison.
  10:30am Cecile:

glenn, do not forget the Detroit Lions.
  10:30am Chris in Madison:

Ha! So much 'Sconsin love up in here! Solidarity indeed!
  10:31am Michelle in Green Bay:

Hell yes, βrian and Chris. Solidarity.
  10:33am βrian:

I'm a Kane-iac!
  10:33am glenn:

oh yeah. the lions. i think they belong in a whole separate category. that said, the n.h.l. as a whole is beyond bad management. if i donate a million bucks to wfmu, will ken go and "ice" gary bettman?
  10:35am glenn:

have the fall ever made a bad album? i can't think of one.
  10:36am Danne D:

LOL Fred - you realize I have to be in by 9am (I'm working the Sarge shift) - my track record of wakefulness on Sunday mornings was too poor to chance the wrath of DJ Mama!

Glenn, you might be right but the Bengals fan in me can't give you that title outright. Don't know if the Clippers are the most miserably run but they are run by the most miserable owner.

As for the original comment - the fact that I mixed up LIC (though physically Queens is on the same island as Long Island, no?) probably gives the answer to why Kearny is always mispronounced. There are a fair share of DJs who come over from Brooklyn or other parts of NY and thus they don't encounter Kearny in their day to day life.
  10:36am PMD:

Looking but cannot listen. give people give!
  10:36am βrian:

Lewis, see what karma gets you?
  10:38am Cecile:

the NHL's strategy to emulate the NBA as mainstream family entertainment has failed miserably. They should just grow and nuture the hockey faithful and spread the game that way.

The NBA has wrecked the game, but it has been financially successful...
  10:38am Canada:

We luuuuuuuuv WFMU. And by the way, we NEVER say "aboot". Or even "eh" all that much.
  10:40am glenn:

i admit to having a huge spot in my heart for the minnesota north stars.
  10:41am Michael:

I set up a prize account before Monday; is there a way of triggering it (with an ammount for the current DJ) over the web?---I saw nothing on the splash pledge page.
  10:42am HoMont:

Sheen makes $2 mil an episode, surely he's saved enough to donate.
  10:42am hamburger:

somebody get Mark Zuckerberg on the phone!
  10:42am Carmichael:

Good morning Ken and all-star board members.
  10:42am Cecile:

eeeeerrrrrrrr, yeah, and they snuck that franchise out of town.
  10:43am Michael:

Ask a billionaire? Sorry, my daily marching orders from Soros come from an unreplyable-to address.....
  10:44am glenn:

pursuant to a discussion from last week here, jon langford is playing in toronto with the sadies and the burlington welsh male chorus on april 15. you know, just in case anybody's interested.
  10:44am Skirkie:

Tonight's PowerBall is only $20 Million with a cash option of $10 Million. Friday's Mega Millions cash option is $66.1 Million.
  10:45am pierre:

Does the "cap Lincoln" thing works with G. Washington?
  10:47am Carmichael:

DOKAKA!!!!
  10:47am Vicki (DO or DIY):

Ha ha... maybe the duty of all on-air staff should be to go on TV game shows and try and win a million :)
  10:47am Chris in Madison:

DOKAKA!!!
  10:48am minnesota jeff:

Dokaka! YES!
  10:48am PMD:

Seriously, if Ken can arrange it that I will the lottery, the first thing I will do is give WFMU $1mill, even before giving money to my family.
  10:51am Nate in (Ferndale) Detroit:

Is a prize account the same thing as a listener number? Ken says it's too late to start a prize account, but I DO have a listener #...does that work the same way?? Either way, hopefully my mouse pledge this morning will keep me in the running for the amazing Phil Spector painting!

Also @Billy Jam - It's Ferndale MICHIGAN, not Minnesota...no worries, though :)
  10:52am fred:

Danne, I remember your schedule, but I'm sure the girls will be glad to have some fresh treats (gluten-free of course) at the end of their shift. Give a big hug to both for me.
  10:55am Marmalade Kitty:

HotRoD & Professor DumDuM!!!!
  10:55am minnesota jeff:

Prize Account is if you pledge $365 before or by the first day of the Marathon - you can then break it into portions to participate in Prize giveaway contests. You would say "I am pledging $15 of my Prize Account to this current contest" Everyone has listener number if you pledge.
  10:58am Marmalade Kitty:

Is barry white in the studio??
  10:58am fred:

People, I can only think of a few reasons not to pledge right now:
- you pledged at least a Y3K before.
- you're a cheap freeloader
- you're saving it all to soak Andy later today (and that's the best reason ever)
  10:59am Canada:

Not playing The Bieb? We may have to rethink our aid.
  11:00am Nate in Detroit:

Thanks, Jeff
  11:00am jan:

Perry, Bieber- how about GaGa
  11:01am paul:

still not sure wether or not katy perry is worse than jason mraz
  11:01am Peanut Gallery:

Katy Perry is bad -- and I
listen to BD's Xmas album all the time. Ooh, Flipper...
  11:01am Dan B From Upstate:

Still better than Jason Mraz.
  11:01am Cheri Pi:

I'm MELTING!!!!!!!
  11:02am listener Andrei:

Tatu please!
  11:02am Michele:

yeah Ken maybe you should scat again!
  11:02am Dale from North Dakota:

I actually like Katy Perry, thanks Ken! lol
  11:02am pierre:

were california girls really unforgettable ?
  11:02am max:

Finally the right choice
  11:02am Skirkie:

I just had to turn down the volume when a co-worker walked by.
  11:02am glenn:

i guess what i want to know is........ why does wfmu even have a katy perry record?
  11:03am Dan B From Upstate:

Youtube, Glenn!
  11:03am fred:

I think the Bob Dylan Xmas record worked wonders in the past...
  11:03am Joe Q:

Hooray for Bob Dylan! Bob Dylan's bad singing is more WFMU-like.
  11:04am Peanut Gallery:

Don't you dare call!
  11:04am glenn:

i sit corrected. and somewhat foolish.
  11:04am Vivian:

C'mon people! I pledged twice this morning!
  11:05am Dale from North Dakota:

Put on one of Kenny G's "Traffic updates", that might move people.
  11:05am andymorphic:

dude...this is totally bumming me out...poor bob. does he deserve this kind of public humiliation
  11:07am Vicki (DO or DIY):

I pledged 45 mins ago and it didn't get read out, now get that Bob off!
  11:07am Vivian:

This is a lot better than when I saw Dylan two summers ago-he mumbled throughout the entire concert!
  11:07am Skirkie:

Pete Seeger foresaw this when he originally tried to unplug Dylan.
  11:07am Joe Q:

Okay, this is bad. Put it off. Not even WFMU deserves this.
  11:08am Peanut Gallery:

Now I will call -- thanks for His Bobness!
  11:08am Marmalade Kitty:

Loving Bob Dylan revisitation!
  11:08am Michelle in Green Bay:

Do online pledges count toward the Flipper antedote? If so, I just did my part!
  11:08am Dan B From Upstate:

Thank you for the Mattias Aguyo CD! I'm looking forward to it! Thank you very much!
  11:08am fred:

Vicki! When will you play in Paris at last?
  11:09am Marmalade Kitty:

No flies on Bob!
  11:09am pierre:

good question fred !
  11:09am Irwin:

Dylan's offense these days is his irrelevance. The greater contemporary musical criminals are Mumford and Sons.
  11:09am Vicki (DO or DIY):

I don't know - maybe in Lille in October
  11:10am Vicki (DO or DIY):

Geneva and Rome in May? No France yet though
  11:11am pierre:

flûte !
  11:11am fred:

OK, getting closer, but that's not within my range. I'll keep lobbying, but last time it fizzled out. Well, you didn't plan to get sick
  11:12am Carmichael:

Ken, did Jason make you play this? I'd much rather hear a song with some funky flute.
  11:14am Vicki (DO or DIY):

I don't normally plan that, no :)
  11:15am Happy Listener:

It's all in the art...
It's all in the art...
It's all in the art...
It's all in the art... OF PLEDGING!
  11:18am Michelle in Green Bay:

Hee!
  11:18am fred:

There's a new (institutional) venue in Paris that looks like a good fit: la gaîté lyrique. I don't think I know anybody there, but I'll be on the lookout for dangling string to pull...
  11:19am minnesota jeff:

Personally, I think the Pledge drive is more entertaining than the regular programming. I love the DJ banter!
  11:21am pierre:

@ Fred : yeah, Lucky dragons are playing there along with konono n°1, though the tickets were all taken when i learned about it. The opening is today.
  11:23am glenn:

billy's irish is coming out.
  11:23am herb:

i mentioned this a coupla times yest, that, if people can add an extra 1% to their donation then they should / could / would / food. what'd ken say earlier, that they been in the red a coupla years? eek. (shoulda invested with madoff!). good luck wfmu.
  11:24am Carmichael:

OK Ken, here's the deal: If you play the theme from Mannix, I'll make it well worth your while, before the song even finishes. Deal?
  11:24am fred:

Yeah, Konono totally rule, but I saw them 4 times already, and I went with France instead. They're closer but rarer for some reason
  11:25am Ken:

Carmichael - When you say you'll make it worth my while, how much are you talking?
  11:26am nic:

sometimes I forget how good WFMU is, but listening to local radio for 5 minutes rams that down my ear hole. pledge away!
  11:27am fred:

Ken, stop haggling and play that theme already. Do I have to rehash the depths you sank to recently without a promise in sight?
  11:27am Happy Listener:

fred's right
  11:27am Carmichael:

at least 3 figures. And the first figure ain't a one.
  11:30am fred:

@Ken: Do it Do it Do it Do it!
@Carmichael: You better hold your end of the bargain, I'm looking up ancient traditional curses as of now
  11:30am Roy:

dealing tune this dark story
  11:31am minnesota jeff:

I think everyone would love to hear the Mannix theme song if it means Carmichael will drop a 3 figure pledge.
  11:31am Vicki (DO or DIY):

nuts
  11:31am Carmichael:

I've been listening to FMU for years. I'm a man of my word.

I think Ken wanted some assurances before he had to run all the way to the record bin.
  11:32am Dan B From Upstate:

Do it Charmichael!
  11:32am βrian:

I see MIke Connors!
  11:33am Broken:

Carmichael: hope the first digit isn't a 0
  11:33am Dan B From Upstate:

Oop. Carmichael, not charmichael. Sorry! Three figures to get a song played. Amazing!
  11:35am PMD:

Hey! It's part of a pledge for life - so FMU is getting money no matter what.
  11:36am PMD:

A great big hug for Rebecca!
  11:36am tim:

Carmichael: The World is watching. MIKE CONNORS is watching. Peggy (Gail Fisher) is watching. I MYSELF am watching.
  11:37am John:

I hate to harp on this but since its been mentioned on air twice now I'm not in LIC I'm in Thailand, I was just correcting another commentator
  11:37am PMD:

Ken, write to George and get a million from him!
  11:39am fred:

Carmichael, for the sake of your progeny for next 76 generations, please do what you said you would do. I just found the right musty page.
  11:40am hamburger:

do scotcheroos go off? they're due in my office while I'm on Holiday :)
  11:41am Happy Listener:

ProTip: stop pestering Carmichael or he may withdraw out of spite!
  11:41am Ken:

Uhm, Carmichael.... ????????!
  11:41am Vicki (DO or DIY):

this is the track that sounds like Danielle Dax
  11:41am Carmichael:

OK, done.
  11:42am fred:

@hamburger: I wouldn't trust my coworkers with such treasures. Better postpone your day off
  11:42am Edzo:

Sounds like Yoko on crack.
  11:42am Carmichael:

That Insta-Pledge was not so instant. Lots of choices, lots of pages.
  11:43am hamburger:

@fred - I'll be gone for two weeks! I guess I will need to bribe someone to take care of it
  11:43am βrian:

@Edzo: Better than Walker on Koch.
  11:44am glenn:

how much different is yoko on crack from regular yoko?
  11:44am Kenzo:

We'll hook up super-Insta-Pledge by next year. Your pledge will be taken before you've even decided to make it.
  11:44am minnesota jeff:

Hoo-ray Carmichael!
  11:45am Brew:

Glenn: About this much | |
  11:46am TDK60:

Yoko walked by the other day.
  11:46am glenn:

so, not much then?
  11:46am Happy Listener:

@βrian: Curare! Curare!
  11:46am fred:

Can someone confirm Carmichael's pledge? I'm fighting off super-sized spiders over than ancient curse grimoire, and I'm thinking about letting the curse go out of sheer boredom
  11:46am Kenzo:

Reason to pledge: Ken's on-air persona has become more insane every year. Keep WFMU going another year to see how far he can go.
  11:48am Carmichael:

Ummm, Ken????
  11:48am nic:

yikes, this is almost as bad as when ZZ Top sampled Autechre
  11:48am Skirkie:

This mash up is yet another track I have solely because I heard it on this show.
  11:49am Skirkie:

Oh that was a different Folsom Prison mash up, either way.
  11:49am minnesota jeff:

nic - Whoa whoa whoa whoa, a ZZ Top Autchre mash up??????????
  11:50am Cecile:

That may be a joke.
  11:50am Brew:

Is that Big Blood - Heart of Glass cover available for purchase/download?
  11:50am yair yona:

any show that plays Big Blood is a show I want to listen to.
but since I'm already a regular listener here, i'm in limbo. what should i do?
  11:51am nic:

it's real. I think the title is "Dreadmon Boogaloo", and it's worse than you can imagine.
  11:51am bbell:

The photo of the woman changing records has me a bit skeptical. I have seen people in this pose (pincha mayurasana), but they always fully engage on their forearms, she is just leaning on her elbows while flipping through albums. I suppose the guys out there are not sticklers for such details.
  11:51am efd:

Personally I prefer the DJ Topcat "Folsom Prison Gangstaz" mashup, but the Pete Rock one isn't bad either.
  11:52am Cecile:

Oh, dear., nic.
  11:52am pierre:

no need Billy jam : http://www.ricekrispies.com/recipes/chocolate-scotcheroos.aspx#/recipes/chocolate-scotcheroos
  11:52am glenn:

it's always fun to sing pinball wizard to the tune of folsom prison blues at my local jam.
  11:53am Carmichael:

Originally from County Wexford, Billy (Gorey).
  11:54am βrian:

Amanda Reckonwith!
  11:55am Carmichael:

Jesus, Glenn. That mash-up actually works wonderfully! I'm gonna record that this evening!
  11:55am Cecile:

Yair, pick an amount, and split it up in $15 increments. Then you can help more shows.
  11:55am fred:

Good, Carmichael, I didn't swat these pesky spiders away in vain. You and your offspring are safe (at least from ancient curses of dubious efficiency)
  11:56am glenn:

yes, it does work. i discovered that about 10 years ago.
  11:56am Happy Listener:

@pierre: thanks for the link, but it's a pain in the ass to print the recipe to a .pdf thanks to their web-wizardry.
  11:56am Carmichael:

Gracias, Frederico.
  11:57am Vivian:

made of dreams-with no dairy?
  11:57am Carmichael:

Glenn, you should try singing the Gilligan's Island lyrics to Stairway to Heaven.
  11:57am pierre:

OK Now i want to taste Ken's scotcheroos
(with love)
  11:58am Vicki (DO or DIY):

except for cow dreams
  11:58am john:

Ken - i just pledged Mouse of the Day - am I in the running for Tom ZE too??? or just Phil Spector??? Want that Ze LP set!!
  11:58am Happy Listener:

@vivian: it looks dairy-free to me, or at least easily modifiable.
  11:58am Carmichael:

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!
  11:59am glenn:

nope. gilligan's island goes over the chords to house of the rising sun. (the animals version)
  11:59am tim:

Congrats Carmichael! Have a Clorets!
  12:00pm bbell:

Lalo Schiffrin did the Mannix theme?! Brilliant! Thanks, Carmichael!
  12:00pm Vicki (DO or DIY):

don't make me take the painting back :)
  12:00pm pierre:

wait what Captain America won the picture ?!
  12:00pm Happy Listener:

Is Mannix significant at WFMU because of the Monk connection?
  12:00pm Nate in Detroit:

Who could NOT want the Phil Spector painting?!
  12:00pm fred:

If he chickens out, Carmichael should have it!
  12:00pm Carmichael:

Glenn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTCYLbFxTpI
  12:01pm PMD:

We heard no test.
