Listener comments!

  12:06am
Betsy:

Ahhh, Brill Building Dolly!! Love it. Hi Therese! :)
  12:07am
Therese:

Hi Betsy! I loooooove that song!
  12:15am
Julie:

Someone on the Muffs record sleeve in the locker looks like Andy Cohen to me. Now you will have to look in the kitchen when you're there next. you're welcome. Hi Betsy & Therese! We going to hear some of your RSD goodies, Therese?
  12:17am
Therese:

Hi Julie! Yes, I have my Record Store Day haul with me!
  12:19am
Julie:

Worth the drenching!
  12:25am
Minnesota Jeff:

If you were one of the lucky Record Store savages that managed to get the unnecessarily limited release of Fucked Up's - Town Comp...could you play some???
  12:28am
Therese:

I did get the Fucked Up, Jeff!
  12:31am
Upper East Jeff:

That song Jackie was just crazy enough. Thank you Therese.
  12:32am
Minnesota Jeff:

Its nice to know 1 fan was able to get a copy. Did you have to jam your arm between two scuzz balls once you got a glimpse of the cover art and yank it out? Or did you just shove someone down and take their copy?
  12:36am
Minnesota Jeff:

Maybe Matador could just release it on a Tuesday at a $50.00 price point and save people some trouble? Or does that mean the ebay ghouls just sell it for $100.00? VENTING.
  12:36am
Julie:

I know someone who got that one too. Only thing I wanted was the Kate Bush and there's a ton on ebay
  12:38am
Julie:

Therese, you are valid.
  12:41am
Julie:

Ah..my work is done...catch ya on the archive!
  12:42am
King penguin:

I think i saw the Superchunk disc today. I was going to go back there anyway I could check on it. know another deej at wfmu and could hand it off.
  12:45am
Deeter:

Iggy to Stritch in 4 moves. Nice!
  12:51am
Therese:

King Penguin- was it in NYC?

Thank you, Deeter
  12:51am
Skirkie:

Therese, your show is an absolute delight for us 9 to 5'ers who are staying up well past our bedtimes.
  12:52am
King penguin:

No. Long Island. It was the Misfits cover.
  12:52am
Skirkie:

Oh and there was a girl in this video who jumped on a car... I don't know I just remember that part when I hear this song.
  12:55am
King penguin:

They had a lot stuff left over. I was thinking of going back. not sure how long they will keep that material. Not a lot of people on Long island are interested in $45 boxsets of Beady Eye 45s.
  12:57am
Minnesota Jeff:

If anyone is looking for the $45 picture disc reissues of the My Morning Jacket albums, MN has plenty. Anyone? No?
  12:58am
Upper East Jeff:

Watching the sun go down here in Hawaii. Listening to your show is the perfect soundtrack, Therese.
  1:00am
King penguin:

Has Kate Bush released the song that has James Joyce quotes and was held up in court? Was that part of the record store day releases?
  1:05am
King penguin:

Oops email was wrong previously. and these math questions are getting tougher.
  1:19am
Therese:

Hmm, I don't know if the Kate Bush was a RSD release...
  1:19am
Therese:

And hello to Skirkie and Upper East Jeff!
  1:30am
RobotBoy:

Looks like I found another good show on WFMU.
  1:31am
JOhn Guggle:

Arthur Crudup was great. Tuned in, thought it was "My Baby Left Me" but was surprised and pleased after another 15 seconds to realise I was wrong
  1:33am
Therese:

Welcome, RobotBoy & John!
  1:33am
King penguin:

I was once in a classroom with Arthur Cruddup playing and singing accompanied by John Hammond Jr. on harp and Bonnie Raitt on slide. Now, That's Alright!
  1:52am
JOhn Guggle:

@king penguin

Sounds awesome. Wish I was thurr

Goofnight, night owls, this is my signoff. Great show Therese
  1:56am
King penguin:

It was amazing. Bonnie Raitt was just coming on the scene and was known more for her playing, which was stunning. Hammond was pretty well established. Crudup sang every song. How could he not.
  2:00am
Jack:

Just back from Indianapolis (visited "Luna Music" on RSD--new pick-hit band: Vacation Club. You heard it here first!!). Very happy to hear a familiar voice on the airwaves!
  2:04am
Mariano:

Yaaaargh!!!
  2:04am
Julie:

@KING the Kate bush RSD release was a 10" 4-song version of Hounds of Love on pink vinyl, her Director's Cut CD (With joyce lyrics) comes out in May.
  2:05am
Tony Hadley:

Martin Fry!
  2:06am
Limahl:

He's no Cy Cernin.
  2:07am
Mariano:

Let's Active... the Atlanta 80s scene! Anyone remember the Coolies?
  2:08am
White Witch:

Swimming Pool Cues
  2:11am
Julie:

Swimming Pool Q's, I just dug out one of theirs for tomorrow
  2:11am
King penguin:

Thanks Julie. NYT had story on it and i got it mixed up the RSD stuff.
  2:12am
Pigeon:

I was told there'd be Molly Hatchet here.
  2:13am
Julie:

Kate in the TIMES and I missed it? I'm slacking in my Kate stalkage. Helllooooooo Pigeon. Mrs. Pigeon, another Kate afficianado
  2:15am
Therese:

Time to set up the Kate Bush google news alert, Julie!
  2:16am
Julie:

Therese, indeed, but I can only cyberstalk so many folks.
  2:17am
Upper East Jeff:

First time hearing this cover version, incredible. Thanks again Therese!
  2:17am
Upper East Jeff:

First time hearing this cover version, incredible. Thanks again Therese!
  2:20am
Julie:

Darn good show as always, but I'm cold and I'm going back to bed. Goodnight folks!
  2:20am
Clink:

Extratheresetrial - your show is outa this world!
  2:21am
Roger:

I bet we'll hear "It's The End of the World As We Know It" so often in 2012 that we'll wish it really was the apocalypse
  2:24am
Therese:

Oh, you mean my karaoke jam?
  2:28am
Roger:

No no. In fact I hope your karaoke jam version becomes the post-apocalyptic national anthem. I was referring to the original version which every schmo has access to
  2:46am
Mariano:

Beautiful song, this BP!
  2:47am
Therese:

It is lovely, isn't it?
  2:54am
Mariano:

Yeah, I'm now six minutes behind you because I had to hear it again!
  2:56am
RobotBoy:

Yay Low.
  2:57am
Therese:

It is a nice way to wind down the program. Stay tuned for Jesse!
  2:59am
King penguin:

I see this no html advisory here, but it was in NYT on April 5. Google Kate Bush and NY Times and you'll get it.
  2:38pm
bruceleh:

It's very cool to see that lateral tracking test on a frequency domain graph. There's a spike at on frequency, and then frequencies, just a bit below and a bit above, rising up one side, in dB, and going down the other side
