The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

40 seconds to air...ooops!
  6:01pm
-max-:

That was pathetic! 30 seconds to air...
  6:01pm
MikeP:

Yeah, boyee!
  6:03pm
Portland Gregry:

Jon Benjamin will always be Jason from Home Movies to me. Home Movies was SO good.
  6:04pm
Robert:

Come on, you don't believe that "open mike gaffe" was really unintentional, do you?
  6:04pm
Listener Bill:

repel the audience? Isn't that the usual show?
  6:05pm
99% of Listening Audience:

WHY couldn't you just do the whole show as a sight gag in silence!!
  6:05pm
MikeP:

I loved Ben on "Dr. Katz"... Jon Benjamin is a funny dude!
  6:05pm
hopey:

Don't forget Coach McGuirk!
  6:05pm
MikeP:

YAY!
  6:06pm
Matt from Springfield:

"Comedy Central's" Jon Benjamin? BOB'S BURGERS' Jon Benjamin!

And Jason from Home Movies, as Portland Gregry helpfully brought up. Loved that show myself!
  6:07pm
hamburger / london:

what was I on, I remember liking home movies - don't remember much from it..
  6:07pm
Ike:

Oh wow, I forgot he was not just the voice of Coach McGuirk, but also Jason. Wow.
  6:07pm
Portland Gregry:

Don't forget Walter! Or was he Perry?
  6:07pm
fred:

How many in what's left of the audience just want to get their 2x$2 by wearing the 7SD T-shirt?
  6:07pm
Upper East Side Summer Camp:

No dismemberment involved. Just deflowering.
  6:07pm
Matt from Springfield:

@hopey: YES! I once recorded the Adult Swim promos for Home Movies from Coach McGuirk--I have a digital "promo reel" somewhere on my computer...
  6:09pm
Matt from Springfield:

@hamburger: It was a small, cult favorite TV show from the late 90s, and again on Adult Swim in the 2000s. Unless you watched it on DVD or the Net, I'm not sure what channel might have aired them in the UK.
  6:09pm
Dave B:

CHAOS!
  6:10pm
hamburger / london:

yea I watched it on the net - life and times of tim reminds me of it in terms of lo-fi ness
  6:10pm
other david:

Cartoon Network aired it in the UK/Irl, I only have vague memories of it - but it was good
  6:11pm
Matt from Springfield:

"My Dad runs a burger place!"
"Oh, what is the restaurant called?"
"Umm...uh....."
"BOB'S BURGERS! BOB'S BURGERS! OH MY GOD, BOB'S BURGERS!!!!!"
  6:12pm
Listener Dave From Seattle:

I appear to be out of the loop.
  6:13pm
Ike:

The last five or six episodes of Bob's Burgers were amazing! It was pretty decent when it started out, but once it got going, wow, it was really awesome.
  6:14pm
Matt from Springfield:

Why can't a UCB item be Andy sending a text message on stage! That bit is ripe for the pickin'!
  6:14pm
Portland Gregry:

I watched it on Cartoon Network in Japan. INTERNATIONAL cult following.
  6:15pm
MikeP:

Great voice cast on "Bob's Burgers"! Kristen Schaal (in bunny ears) kills me.
  6:17pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Ike: Yes, the whole series is excellent. I can only rate episodes based on number of memes and quotes I've adopted from the episode! If I had to choose a fav I would probably select the "Banjo/Conflict Resolution" or The Animal Rights Filmmaker.
  6:17pm
giraffe-o:

And Carl, the all-wise nerd on 'Family Guy'
  6:18pm
Matt from Springfield:

@MikeP: The kids (particularly Louise) are the best--such sociopaths!
  6:21pm
Ike:

I love lady grey tea!
  6:21pm
hopey:

I love that he plays RDR!
  6:21pm
MikeP:

YAY again.
  6:21pm
Matt from Springfield:

And it's not "Lady Earl Grey", just "Lady Grey". I don't think there's much difference, except I think Lady Grey is decaf, with lemon in addition to bergamot.
  6:23pm
masterblaster:

Lady Grey is for ladies. And gays.
  6:24pm
other david:

Oh dear
  6:25pm
Ike:

Yeah, Kristen Schaal on Bob's Burgers, WOW. She's OK on the Daily Show now and then, but on BB, she knocks it out of the freaking park with just about every line.
  6:25pm
fred:

Hm, I can't understand why people think Jon Benjamin is hilarous. *shrugs* The jokes in Bob's Burgers and Jon Benjamin Has a Van are shallow and a little bit too immature in my opinion.
  6:25pm
Stephin Merritt:

Hey Lady Grey, can you save my life this time?
  6:26pm
giraffe-o:

Not related to anything - but has anyone seen "Glenn Martin, DDS"? That show has kinda grown on me.
  6:26pm
Bouncer:

Someone card this dude.
  6:26pm
MikeP:

@fred I honestly think that JB's best stuff so far has been earlier, and he has fans from a lot of older series...
  6:27pm
fred:

@Ike: I liked Schaal much better on Flight of the Conchords.
  6:27pm
fred:

@MikeP: I see, thanks for that insight.
  6:28pm
Danne D:

UGH :( Just realized I missed hearing the Good Doctor on the air live :(
  6:28pm
MikeP:

No dis to the newest shows, but Dr. Katz, Home Movies, ATHF, etc., are a great "underground" body of work.
  6:28pm
Danne D:

Hi folks :)
  6:28pm
Bouncer:

Will the hipster cartoon discussion be lasting for the rest of the show?
  6:30pm
MikeP:

@Bouncer If you'd like...? ;)
  6:30pm
Danne D:

Yes, Bouncer, with a possible addition of some of the great AS anime shows, such as Cowboy Bebop
  6:31pm
Danne D:

Or as I put Cowboy Bebop - the anime show for people like me who don't really care for anime.
  6:31pm
Matt from Springfield:

Hi Danne!
Your comment on Chris T confirmed what I thought--your moniker is a tribute to Terre T :)
  6:31pm
Listener Dave From Seattle:

I guess this proves that Andy and Ken aren't needed.
  6:32pm
Julie:

rats I hate when I can't make the UCB show..stupid life
  6:33pm
Ike:

@fred, honestly so far I'm not quite digging Has a Van as much as Bob's or Archer. Be sure to check the later eps. of Bob's. And Danne is right about Cowboy Bebop. Great anime (more like space noir) for people who don't like anime.
  6:33pm
Julie:

Jon Benjamin used to call into Scharpling.. I just got here so I don't know if they mentioned that
  6:34pm
MikeP:

@Julie As characters, as himself, both??
  6:35pm
Ike:

No they didn't mention that! Wow! Cool.
  6:36pm
cheri:

heeey hiya julie & danne how have you been?? yesterday was my 30th b-day
  6:37pm
Matt from Springfield:

Hi Julie!
No, they didn't mention his calling into Best Show, but I was aware from Archive descriptions that Jon Benjamin had appeared on and off a few years ago.
  6:37pm
MikeP:

Wow, I am kinda no longer caring about Jon Benjamin. (I bet he gets a lot of that.)
  6:38pm
Julie:

as characters
  6:39pm
Julie:

happy late birthday cheri
  6:39pm
hamburger / london:

happy birthday cheri! hey mr danne d!
  6:40pm
Ike:

30? Wow, yr grammar and writing style doesn't make you sound a day over 10.
  6:40pm
cheri:

thank youj very much julie & hamburger!!
  6:40pm
MikeP:

@Julie Thanks.
  6:41pm
Bouncer:

Think of cheri as a cartoon writer, if that helps at all.
  6:41pm
Danne D:

@Matt Yes indeed :) Terre T is the best! Seriously, you can't find a finer DJ or a finer person in this world.

@Julie Ya, me too :( one of these days I'll be able to make a wednesday night at ucb

@ Ike - the intro to Cowboy Bebop sucked me in. Just amazing stuff all the way around. Makes sense it was such a short series but was kinda crushing for it be so as it was so good.

@Cheri Happe Birthday!

@hamburger hey!
  6:43pm
cheri:

ty danne & julie
  6:44pm
NY Times Print Edition:

Please remember to come to my funeral.
  6:45pm
Julie:

I love the groan at his own idea
  6:45pm
giraffe-o:

These interviews have been relevant, cogent, interesting, and insightful. I am shocked.
  6:45pm
MikeP:

I am (proud/ashamed) to admit that I kinda "fetishize" the printed NYT. <ducks and covers>
  6:45pm
cheri:

julie & danne you two are the best!!!!
  6:45pm
Danne D:

whatever floats your boat, MikeP
  6:45pm
Bouncer:

@giraff-o: Obviously someone slipped up.
  6:46pm
Ike:

Funny thing is that a movie critic in the NY Times panned the movie. Made it sound like it was over-edited and could've used a lot more detail. Maybe it should've been a series on IFC or Ovation or something.
  6:46pm
Julie:

I am not the best..Terre T is the best ;)
  6:46pm
Danne D:

@giraffe-o something about being in front of a live audience gives andy enough sense of shame to put on a good interview I guess ;o)
  6:47pm
99% of Listening Audience:

This is great, why didn't they just do this from the start? Sure beats that boring crap over the last 45 minutes.
  6:47pm
Listener Dave From Seattle:

Sounds pretty good
  6:47pm
Danne D:

Julie is correct :) Though Julie is another one of the best :)
  6:47pm
Julie:

Thanks Danne, check's in the mail
  6:47pm
Danne D:

Suddenly I have the urge to use the restroom....
  6:47pm
MikeP:

My sparrow is chirping and singing along with this...
  6:48pm
Matt from Springfield:

Hey Julie, you ready for the Fabio/Clay music duel tomorrow?
  6:48pm
Julie:

Hey someone else has a bird!
  6:48pm
Julie:

@Matt I hope so! Debating what to bring with me.
  6:48pm
cheri:

  6:49pm

  6:53pm
Listener Dave From Seattle:

Is this his first show?
  6:54pm
cheri:

just more thing julie do you like family guy?? if so who is your fave character on the show?? i think meg & brian are cool,
  6:55pm
other david:

Don should perhaps have been on for the whole show :)
  6:55pm
Bouncer:

cheri's motto is "too much is never enough". is that hostile enough?
  6:56pm
Julie:

I like Adam West. He married his hand. Also the pedophile next door. (there's words you don't hear much)
  6:56pm
Julie:

@OD his is interesting isn't he, he's got to have tons of stories.
  6:57pm
MikeP:

<<<TTTHHHEEE>>> <<< BBBUUUSSS>>>
  6:58pm
Matt from Springfield:

Catch you all later! Have a good night!
  6:58pm
Danne D:

Julie's comments today are top notch. That makes me jealous in a hostile way (maybe).
  6:59pm
Julie:

I wanna go cross-country in a psychedelic bus. That should be a WFMU project.
  6:59pm
other david:

Yep Julie - he's worked with so many great artists, and also he comes across like a nice guy too
  7:00pm

Hurray for Ernie!
