Listener comments!

  3:16pm benjoya:

terre, this song ('days of a quiet sun') is great! where's i put that peyote?
  3:23pm Mickey Bagoosh:

That "Days of the Quiet Sun" song was mint! I'm playing that jam at the tanning salon.
  3:26pm Mickey Bagoosh:

"Mickey"! You played that jam for me. You're into me. I knew it.
  3:28pm Rudiger:

Chrome rules
  3:28pm miketp:

where is chrome from they burn
  3:31pm Mark:

I'd love to hear some classic Dust today!
  3:32pm Paulie B:

@miketp: Chrome were from San Francisco. There's actually a Chrome box set available on Amazon for only like $18. It's definitely a worthwhile purchase!
  3:33pm tony:

Temporary Secretary ... brilliant!
  3:33pm miketp:

any cheetah erector head. how bout some baloney boys. pasta patrol wagon anyone .great weekend terre and listeners
  3:34pm miketp:

thanks paulie ill check this out
  3:34pm hungover other david:

loving the set
  3:35pm Ike:

"Do the Uganda?" Srsly? I really really REALLY thought he was saying "gimme a condom" and I was like, hey, a song about safe sex! Nice!
3:36pm Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

That is the third time I detected a volume change on my Internet radio. Are you messing with the pots?
  3:38pm patrick:

killer set so far!! hot hot hot!
  3:39pm benjoya:

might wanna tighten up those lyrics a little, oz.
  3:55pm Marmalade Kitty:

Kinks!!! there was a nice documentary on; "the Kinks at the BBC", last week on BBC Four.
  4:10pm alberto:

ozzy would sing and improve melodies while just making up the words, then geezer would go back and write the lyrics.
  4:14pm fred:

I don't usually make requests, but I could use some Electrelane. I skipped their gig yesterday to see Swans, and that was such a bad fit for me.
  4:17pm hungover other david:

aw fred :(

a bit of electrelane would be delightful
  4:18pm Chuck E. Jesus:

that Black Lips tune was great!
  4:20pm David Shortell:

Was that a radio documentary, Marmalade? Or was it television?
  4:21pm fred:

worst thing is that someone wanted to trade her ticket to Electrelane for my Swans ticket because the latter was sold out, but I don't have a cell phone and only got the message too late. We both ended up in the wrong place, and we both knew it.
  4:49pm miketp:

amy winehouse is dead?
  4:50pm tony:

Amy Winehouse, RIP
  4:51pm fred:

@miketp: that's what I heard
  4:52pm tony:

Only 27 years old
  4:53pm David Shortell:

I see the Ettes cancelled their August 6 Asbury Park show so they can play Philadelphia that night. Phooey.
  4:57pm fred:

Amy winehouse is dead, and the creeps are out for a feeding frenzy. I didn't like her music, but I'm so repelled by this circus. Come to think of it, her music has nothing to do with it all, and I think that's sad.
  5:01pm miketp:

heroin is a dangerous alancing act according to professional drug taker keith richards. im far from that scene thank god
  5:05pm Julie:

Kinks documentary? I wanna see!
  5:10pm fred:

@miketp: I don't know that heroin has anything to do with her death, but I do know that heroin robbed be of more than one friend. Some died, some didn't, but all were taken over. This crap is too potent to mess with, and there's just zero moral content in my opinion, I just hate to see people I loved zombified. Because that's what it does over time, I look at them but all that looks back is the all too familiar gaze of the heroin zombie. I know it all too well.
  5:29pm fred:

Wow I didn't mean to kill the board with my negative vibes. Time New Viking should easily fix that, because they just rule. This set was amazingly good!
  5:32pm Robert:

Good, flattering photos. Is that you in the stripes, Terre?
  5:37pm Robert:

Who's the photographer? Sorry I couldn't listen to the band because I was on the phone with my friend. She wound up not being able to get the paperwork for her surgery in France during the time she was there, so she'll have to go back some time it's not vacation season.
  5:37pm fred:

@robert: she looks close enough to the T-shirt to me, so I'll go out on a limb and bet that's her. Then again, I'm not cool enough to have actually met her, so I know nothing.
  5:38pm Paulie B:

That is indeed Terre in the strips. And Beth of Times New Viking rocking a Cherry Blossom Clinic shirt!
  5:40pm Listener Jumpy from Brooklyn:

We got to stop calling songs "jams." Jams are long, self-indulgent non-songs.
  5:42pm fred:

@robert: I happen to live in France, if there's anything I can do to help, even if it's as boring/trivial as standing in line for hours to file something for your friend, just let me know (my gmail account name is counterfnord)
  5:50pm Danne D:

Hey cool people. Listening to Terre - the only way to keep cool on a day like this :)
  5:54pm Robert:

@ fred: Am I supposed to see the fnord, or not see it?

The reason I think of my friend Nadine in cx with Terre is because of the trouble Terre had with her health insurance forher treatment a decade ago. Nadine chose France on her husband's French social insurance as an alternative to litigating with her insurer.
  5:56pm glenn:

hear hear, listener jumpy. i agree one quidjillion percent.
  6:00pm Stevel:

Nice closer. Sad loss.
  6:00pm Rob Tyner:

Kick out the jams!
  6:00pm hungover other david:

:(
  6:00pm fred:

Hey Danne!
Nice to see you (well not really) in your waking hours. I hope you'll check in tomorrow; or else you'll have to feel the wrath of DJ Mama -- and I've heard it's hot enough for you as it is.
  6:02pm Danne D:

Hi fred. I'll try to check in tomorrow! It's always tough in the early am for me.

Very nice tribute, to Amy Winehouse. RIP to a troubled soul.
  6:03pm Greg:

thank you for closing with the Amy Winehouse track,I know she wasnt everyones cup of tea,but was a great talent who left us too soon.
  6:06pm fred:

@robert: don't overthink it: if there's anything I can do as someone who lives in France, just say so, and it will be done. If it involves trying, I'll do so and report back.
