There are great visual stereotypes for all parts of the USA, but what I always found most interesting in my travels is that a lot of the "New Yorkers" who complain about "bridge and tunnel folks from Jersey" have often just arrived in NYC 18 months ago via trains and planes. Much of New Jersey is loaded with older ex-New Yorkers who just wanted to buy real estate they could afford.
