Billy Jam:

This show, which is dedicated to Don Cornelius and DJ Solomon -both of whom we lost this week, features an interview with hip-hop ambassador Bas-One which was recorded recently at Cafe Med in Berkeley CA. Note due to FCC regulations when Bas used such words as "fuck" or "motherfucker" I had to "fresh" them out (edit in "fresh" instead of the curse words like "fuck") - due to US Government regulations - ironic since the US gov has long been "fucking" over people in its country - and that ain't "fresh". Lushlife outta Philly is the featured new music artist. I will play two of the tracks off his amazing new album "Plateau Vision LP" - along with lots of other new music, alongside classic old tracks. Note I will not be getting to MC Squared's (aka "rapper with no name") music this week. Maybe next week. Shout out to Spidermank in UK, DJ ALF in Maryland, Other David & Tall Paul in Ireland, Ben Drinken in the pub, Timi D..., Dawgisht, and Eons One in Bay Area, Shing02 in LA, Icewater in Brooklyn, and you in your comfy listening area. Thanks to Jonathan for board operating, to Kool Herc for creating the genre of hip-hop, and to Bas-One for sharing his knowledge and passion for the culture of hip-hop. - peace Billy Jam
