A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

He makes the best frames too out of gently used wood and board games from the vintage period. I wish I could show you my dove-it has these blurry orange leaves in the background and the dove has a bright blue shadow under it's wing.

Cecile:

Yes Cecile, he'll be happy to come up with something for you, if you need any more info let me know. I think I paid $65 for it framed and I feel like it's worth 10xs time that.

you know, glenn, they used to hold kids born after November 1 back a year for development reasons here in the States. A lot of people mention that in the article. They way my husband talks (born 10/22) he might have benefitted from that, too. Although he's done A-ok considering...

@glenn: nice weird doo wop there ;)
Actually, it just reminds me of how "Mack the Knife" somehow became a swing tune about a "cool cat"... Aren't the singers reading the damn lyrics?
  10:55am
Cecile:

it's the 1950s translation! they softened it up a whole lot.

  11:10am
Caryn:

@Cecile: of course they did, and yeah, the rape of the bride and the burning down of the nunnery are gone, but he does still kill 2-3 people in the softened up version. Then again, when Sinatra sang it, he added in the lyrics about "an offer you can't refuse", so maybe the supposed mob connections make the whacking of people more acceptable? Who knows...

When does the time change again in the UK?
  11:40am

T-Zero 24th March I think. It's usually a couple of weeks changeover.
  11:41am

Thanks. Seemed like you went first in the fall... Can't believe it's that time again already...

Hi, kat. No. Nothing at all.
  11:45am

That's good. Mighty close to me and right on top some family here.
  11:47am
T-Zero:

I don't know why, but where I'm at in the city I usually gon't get much of anything except temp fluctuations. I was concerned about family in IN, but it missed them as well. Hope your family are fine.

Thanks for asking. Beginning to wonder about the playlists since I've returned. My nephew is a counselor at the Henryville HS that was destroyed, but no one personally injured.

@kat: That's good that they're safe. I think in both IN and OH it was the south that got it. My parents are NE of Muncie. Though to be candid, I've not been paying much attention other than I noted the number injured/killed. I'm usually more aware but have been kind of out of it the past few days.
