Congzi:

A little bad, so I cant listen, are there anything interesting that you'd like to recommend?
  6:59am
ausmanx:

XERO!!! Jesus, Jason, where did you get that? Brisbane in 1981 was a very bleak place to be... and it looks like it's going that way again!
  7:04am
ausmanx:

not australia, just brisbane... they've just elected a new fascist premier!
  7:07am
Hugo:

Wow, i doubt bert zwier is the same one as this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDewHIPYo7E
but that is also a true dutch gem. my god....
  7:09am
ausmanx:

brisbane's the capital of queensland, one of the states in australia, and it's weird. they last had a very weird right wing premier called joh bjelke-petersen back in the 70s/80s and he was BAD for things like live music, but we did get bands like The Saints and The Go-Betweens (some of them were in Zero!) from Brisbane during that period. the new guy, campbell newman, looks to have similar policies to joh. i suspect that's enough for now!
  7:09am
Hugo:

ah, i see. bert/bart mix-up. i'm a bit relieved!
  7:11am
Don:

So do you think that playing entire Mannasquan HS double lp of Jesus Christ Superstar would be a good special this month?
  8:40am
quilty:

sounds like a winner!
  8:40am
Deepak:

sounds great jason and i'm not a christian either. I'd say go for it.
  8:41am
Mike East:

I think Godspell has better music, for what its worth.
  8:42am
Mike East:

The latest incarnation of JC Superstar on Broadway failed miserably.
  8:45am
quilty:

On a related note, I may attempt to mount a musical adaption of "Unemployment Makes Me Come" to coincide with the November election.
  8:46am

  8:51am
Mike East:

by all means, I'm on board, Jason. The Man-a-squan H.S. Chorus sounded great. It puts you right in the auditorium with them.
  8:53am
Mike East:

...and playing the whole thing would compound that effect.
  8:53am
hamburger:

is he talking to his cow?
  8:54am
aaron in Jcity:

its the alt version of "Walking the Cow'
Avatar 8:54am
DJelbogen:

From liner notes:
""Band 7 - If One sings to a cow, she will give down her milk more easily, so milking songs are common in faming communities. The Tigre-speaking chief of Afata village in Zula district on the Red Sea was milking a stubborn cow. He reviles her for holding back, encourages her later and finally, when the steady stream of milk is coming, he praises her, saying that she can feed all the members of his household with this fine yield.""

northguineahills:

The last hour has been rad. Yeah, that Manasquan High School Chorus was good morning music.
Avatar 8:56am
DJelbogen:

So I guess he's 'reviling' the cow', encouraging her, then praising her.
