Especially in western societies, where the sphere of personal space is much bigger than in some other societies. Being comfortable with being close to and allowing other people to touch you without getting freaked out. Apparently some victims of childhood sexual abuse also go to these clubs as part of therapy to get used to physical contact with people in a safe environment.

Especially in western societies, where the sphere of personal space is much bigger than in some other societies. Being comfortable with being close to and allowing other people to touch you without getting freaked out. Apparently some victims of childhood sexual abuse also go to these clubs as part of therapy to get used to physical contact with people in a safe environment.
