	2:12am KP: Brian Wiki says Tony Meehan of the Shadows auditioned them. THey passed because "Guitar groups were on way out." The bootleg is very common and it good fidelity (also on youtube). George sings most of the leads so they had not really hit their stride.
	2:16am Matt from Springfield: Field recordings are still great, still useful even today! Maybe there will be a comp someday of "iPhone field recordings"! Just make sure you remember not to delete the ones you've made...
	2:18am KP: "Can't Buy Me Love: The Beatles, Britain, and America" by Jonathan Gould is a tremendous book. It's a little scholarly, lot about society but i liked that. Covers all.
	2:20am KP: Brian, i did not read far enough in the Wiki post: Many have speculated who made the decision to reject the Beatles. While various accounts of the audition have been published, most agree it was either Dick Rowe, producer Mike Smith or ex-Shadow Tony Meehan.

	2:20am KP: Brian, i did not read far enough in the Wiki post: Many have speculated who made the decision to reject the Beatles. While various accounts of the audition have been published, most agree it was either Dick Rowe, producer Mike Smith or ex-Shadow Tony Meehan.
