I was as surprised as you. And Vanilla Fudge!

love the fudge. pretty much hate the butterfly.

can't say I'm a fan of either. Long Island hippie sludge was still waiting for BOC I guess

everybody that mention Iron Butterfly seems to have somethings against it. (Not saying that i'm an aficionado here, I hardly know the band and its music)

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

No need to apologize, Glenn. The Shangri-Las didn't know how Billy Joel would end up.

Billy Joel-inspired random flashback: The year his Glass Houses LP came out, there was a surreal product on the market for kids: pink chewing gum shaped like records & packaged in re-print sleeves of the day's popular music. The intent was to cause a collector frenzy(?) I wasn't big on gum. No idea why I recall this.

we ran out of fuel oil over the weekend. I was sleeping downstairs and woke up noticing it kind of cold. Went to the thermostat and turned it up and nothing. Went to the basement and saw the gauge on the tank empty. We just got a delivery a few weeks ago. The cap was loose outside. turns out someone may have siphoned some fuel from our tank. I wrapped the spout with plastic wrap and left a note..I will find you and kill your head if you steal any more oil.
Avatar 4:58pm

I think I would have had a huge blast on that doomed Carnival cruise ship. Imagine all of the crazy shit you could get away with during the whole thing. Especially if you met up with other crazy people, or wfmu people. And as long as there was booze. I would have sensed the pending danger ahead of time and grabbed all of the booze and drugs at the bar. Would have been all kinds of crazy shit going on if I was on that ship. Fun stuff, not bad, frightening stuff, which I am also capable of.
