Avatar 10:30am
Rev. Turnip Druid:

First up, however: Have this gigantic vat of concentrated prik khing curry paste, and twenty metric tons of tempeh. hm...
Avatar 10:33am

Don't forget some Parquet Courts today. I listen to their record all the time but it's great to hear it on the RADIO!

βrian:

Tempeh. I refer to it as vegetarian liver. (But I do kind of like it ...)
Avatar 11:10am
Rev. Turnip Druid:

Been a veg. since teenage years.... Was turned onto tempeh at a hippie cafe here (dc) in the '80s that did a tempeh ruben sandwich. It was like meeting the face of god. And turning away from it because I had this awesome sandwich.
Avatar 11:12am
Cheri Pi:

The Tempeh Reuben was just perfectly described. Amen.
Avatar 11:14am
Rev. Turnip Druid:

Of course I might have been hallucinating after guzzling a huge pint of freshly juiced carrots & beets. Fear & loathing at the hippie cafe. Great stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am
Scott McDowell:

Hey Jack!
Avatar 11:16am
βrian:

It was your Hadron Collider moment. What better than a tempeh reuben to represent cognitive dissonance. Mirabile dictu!
Avatar 11:20am
Rev. Turnip Druid:

This has been a fascinating week. Working on freelance at home with FMU on speakers and witnessing the effects on the dog. This set here has turned his face upside down.
Avatar 11:21am
Rev. Turnip Druid:

and βrian: By that comparison, tempeh becomes the mythical "god particle." I like that.
Avatar 11:25am
Cheri Pi:

Yes, that nails it. I'm hoping to ingest some of it's greatness in the upcoming hour.
Avatar 11:26am
Cheri Pi:

If Gonzo is twizzling his dna into candy-knots I can only imagine how Richard Nixon's bird must be reacting to this set.
Avatar 11:36am
Rev. Turnip Druid:

Gomez gave up to the lords of snoring. Now it's approaching noon and the tempeh is singing to me from over there....
Avatar 11:40am

"With actives sites of sporulation!" What better recommendation could you have than that?

Avatar 11:56am
dk:

woah, this william tyler thing. from the desciption @ merge: Tyler describes the record as “my ’70s singer-songwriter record; it just doesn’t have any words.”

never occurred to me that's exactly what it'd take to fix 70s singer-songwriter music in my eyes, but yep. that's it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am
Scott McDowell:

Ha!
Avatar 12:00pm
