I don't know if others feel the same thing, but I find songs like this "Ghost Blonde" with the bass strings very heavy and reverbing in it, to be very soothing, either on record or at the performance of it.
  4:43pm
Robert:

I haven't been to any music in a while, but hearing something like this outdoors would be especially relaxing.

Is that actually 2 ladies singing, or is it somehow delayed to get that effect from 1 singer?

I'm figuring delay line (probably digital these days, but could be analog) plus reverb on both the 1st & delayed output. And she has a pretty voice, probably well practiced.

Is that sound produced by No Joy's own engr., or someone on staff at WFMU?

dontcha worry Turnip, whole thing'll be on the FMA in a matter of days! Robert, that's a direct box - converting line level signal to mic level for the board, which is what you do when they run their mics thru FX

Avatar 🧩 Swag For Life Member 5:34pm

Actually Scott, Ray is the only one I could say was *not* the worst member of The Doors. Sure, he kind of had a promotional streak to him, but so did a lot of people much worse than that. Was there anyone worse than Jim? Hard to say for sure, but so far Jim's coming out the "winner" in that category.
