Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hmmm...there was a version of "Popcorn" with lyrics this morning, and now this Sammy Davis, Jr. song. I didn't know this one had lyrics.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm pacific standard simon:

I don't suppose Sammy ever covered "The Greasy Chicken".
  9:20pm frenchee:

great show, David...DAVID! The Barrence W. cut is tremendous.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23pm pacific standard simon:

@Ken - Pretty much every TV theme ever has lyrics buried somewhere (with a stake through their hearts, one hopes), because there's royalty money in it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25pm Parq:

Oh, if only Sammy Davis Jr. had done a guest shot on 5-0. Sammy together with Jack Lord -- cancha just see it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29pm pacific standard simon:

I remember his guest appearance on I Dream of Genie -- it was pretty sweet. Cheesy & sweet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:30pm Parq:

There was a gag in which Bugs Bunny asked "how are ya fixed for blades" of an executioner.
Avatar 9:35pm CTEmpress:

Hey Can we relentlessly okug our show Sat night at Grand Victory? 11pm me Connie T and the Jump-y jamming at Soul Spin. Way to work it out post Nick Lowe at Lincoln Center. thanks!! Poison Ivy baby!
  9:40pm ?:

never noticed that the Modern Lovers sounded like the VU
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41pm pacific standard simon:

Bugs Bunny also met Jack Webb.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm pacific standard simon:

But nobody ever called Bugs an asshole, either.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46pm Greg from Bloomfield:

Jojo used to hang around the Velvets when he was a young lad!
Avatar 9:46pm CTEmpress:

Eliot Small related to Millie?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm pacific standard simon:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm pacific standard simon:

HOLY SMOKE! Netflix streaming has 29 episodes of "Man With A Camera", a 1958 TV series starring Charles Bronson as "Former combat cameraman Mike Kovac" who "is now a freelance photographer in New York City, specializing in difficult and dangerous assignments where he can get the kinds of pictures that other photographers can't or won't take." What the hell?! Did someone at a network think ripping off Weegee would make a gripping TV series? This I gotta see!
Avatar 10:08pm CTEmpress:

Eddie rules
Avatar 10:15pm CTEmpress:

You'll be hearing Love Sickness on Sat night at Grand Vic baby
Avatar 10:28pm fleep:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52pm Greg from Bloomfield:

This is amazing.
  10:57pm sgt.macdonald:

Eddie Holland - Love is What You Make It
began the last set, ahead of Karen Black
  9:52am john:

I asked COWBOY JACK CLEMENT at the 2011 Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors about the Wikipedia story of Sun Records selling Elvis' contract in order to pay off a judgment on "Hound Dog" copying the song "Bear Cat," and soft-spoken songwriter, singer and recording studio pioneer answered, ā€¯Bullshit !," and that he never heard that story before, and that Sam Phillips was loaded . . .

Easily had a million dollars to pay any settlement, that is.

Cowboy Jack left the tape recorder rolling during the studio jam when they all dropped by and the famous photo was taken, and that bootlegged session became an album and premise for the Broadway musical "Million Dollar Quartet."

And R.I.P. KAREN BLACK - "Trilogy of Terror"

EDDIE HOLLAND didn't tell how his inspiration to write "I Hear a Symphony" was the Toys' "A Lover's Concerto" moving up the charts month before.

Twas David ROSE, with simian, to start the show.
