@Morton: Now you're talking!
@Loren: A lot of people probably would.
Avatar 3:52pm
Ike:

I heard there is (or used to be?) something at FMU called The Robot that would get upset and call the DJ if there was more than x seconds of silence. But a live version of 4'33" with lots of coughing and other audience racket would be fine. I think Kenny G. used to play one, maybe?
Avatar 3:53pm
steve:

from the internet: Originally entitled “Performance Mix” it was later renamed in honor of Cage’s Italian landlady Signora Fontana.
Avatar 3:54pm
Loren:

What does a radio-friendly version of 4'33" sound like?.. tummy grumbles, flatulence, squeaking chairs, Scott Williams wrestling with Fabio, sinus congestion...
Avatar 3:55pm
steve:

Ike - vaguely related, i remember when Kenny G did Hour of Pain he did at least one full hour of total silence. at the beginning of the hour he recounted discussing his plans to do so with Station Manager Ken. dont remember hearing about The Robot but i barely remember it
