Hope some of you might be willing to make a pledge today to our silent fundraiser, which will help WFMU build our Studio of Tomorrow, a great new ground-floor performance space.

	12:27pm Mike East: @DCE - the city street sweeper comes by and cleans the street. Most streets have signs posted telling you which days between which hours you're not allowed to park on that side of the street...so even if you don't use your car at all, you still need to move it to the other side of the street about 3 or 4 times a week....otherwise you get a ticket.
	12:27pm Irene Trudel: @DCE, this is the hell NYC drivers go through about twice a week. We have to move our cars so the street sweepers can "clean" the streets. It alternates each side of the street, hence the name.

With a breezily emotional vocal style and an impressive mastery of guitar-like instruments, Becca Stevens has been quietly gaining a strong fanbase in the jazz/rock world. She's worked folks like with Brad Mehldau, Lionel Loueke, and the Bjorkestra, to name a few, and has a couple of gorgeous albums out as bandleader. Stevens, along with Rebecca Martin and Gretchen Parlato, perform as the ensemble Tillery (which had to reschedule for later in the year). Becca Stevens dropped by to play a few tunes solo.
