Certainly possible, but there was a bevy of countryish religious tunes recorded during the '60s the criticized the U.S. space program as "unChristian" and against the Bible. I took the song in that light as an attack on (the Catholic) Kennedy's race to the moon.

Certainly possible, but there was a bevy of countryish religious tunes recorded during the '60s the criticized the U.S. space program as "unChristian" and against the Bible. I took the song in that light as an attack on (the Catholic) Kennedy's race to the moon.
