Hey Michael, Have you heard that song "Little Black Dress" by One Direction?

time to re-evaluate ringo? why? he's a great drummer, a reasonable singer, and a ringo's all starr band show is 2 1/2/ hours of rockin' fun.

Absolutely right Mike. The Everlys on Warner are even better than on Cadence and the Cadence stuff is obviously classic. I'm sure part of the 1973 breakup was connected to the frustrations involved in the relative lack of success with Warner.

Anyone who owns the Byrds' "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" but not the Everlys' "Roots" MUST correct such an oversight. Maybe Mike can play the "Roots" version of "I Wonder If She Cares As Much" although you'll have to either pot it up or begin with the previous track of "T for Texas."

Great show as usual.
In case you were wondering, (yes I was wondering and have too much free time) here are the Google search results for the 4 Beatles:

George Harirson 89,100,000
Paul McCartney 62,200,000
John Lennon 60,000,000

Ringo Starr 5,960,000

Two things. POOR Ringo! I guessed in order John, Paul, George, Ringo. George at #1 hmmmmmm

beatles in order of douchiness-
1 john
2 paul
3 george
4 ringo
although george and ringo are so much less douchy than john and paul they might as well be tied.

Not much of a secret but the legit Beatles at the BBC sets can't touch the complete shows that are easily found on the Internets. Context and DJs. Hard to beat.

@glenn: Watch Martin Scorsese's George documentary just for starters, and you may end up placing a lot less space between Paul and George and a lot more space between George and Ringo. Ringo was the one consistent grownup in the band.

I've listened to WFMU online weekly since 1997. One observation I have is that this radio station is not particularly Beatle-friendly which breaks my heart. This interview with Kevin Howlett about his really nice new book helps rectify the situation. The Beatles are a case of the good guys, for once, winning big time.
